ROBESTON HALL, NEAR MILFORD HAVEN. Very Important Sale of Pure-bred Short-horn Breeding Cows, Heifers, and Young Bulls. Mr. HENRY DAVIES Has been favoured with instructions from A. Baird, Esq., TO SUBMIT FOR SALE BY PUBLIC AUCTION, At ROBESTON HALL, on TUESDAY, the 7th OCTOBER, 1879, rpHE larger portion of his splendid HERD of JL PEDIGREE SHORT HORN CATTLE, comprising 30 Milch Cows and Heifers, and 10 young Stock Bulls and Bull Calves, of fashionable blood. This Herd has been founded about 10 years, and during r that time pure bred Bulls of the renowned Bates strain have been used- chiefly of the fashionable Kirklevnigton Tribe. The Bull now in use, and by which the Cows have been served, is the 5th Earl of Horton, (3-'7J7) whose dam is that Grand Cow Kirklevington 18th, whose portrait appeared in Vol. 20 of the Herd Book. The same animal is also aire of nearly all the Heifers and Young Bulls. The Herd has been used chiefly for dairy purposes and the stock has never been pampered in any way, but treated exactly in the same manner as the native Black breed. „ The Cows are all young and possess excellent milking properties, combined with good scale quality and hardy constitutions. The Heifers and Young Bulls are very promising animals. The present Sale affords a rare opportunity to breeders and admirers of Short-horn, of purchasing animals of great merit and high-class pedigree. Robeston Hall is distant from Johnston and Milford Railway Stations about three miles, and from Haverford- west six miles.
