CORWEN WORKING PARTY I For Soldiers and Sailors. I The first consignments of garments made by the ladies of the above party were sent to Queen Mary's Needlework Guild and to Lady French for sending out to troops at the Front. The President the Hon. Mrs Wynn, Rug, has received the following acknowledgements:— Friary Court, St. James's Palace, S. W. From Lady Lawley, Hon. Secretary, I am commanded by her Majesty to convey to you the expression of her high appreciation of the generosity with which you have respon- ded to her appeal and to thank you for the splendid gift of clothing which you have been so good as to send to the Q. M. N. G. Yours faithfully, Annie Lawley, The clothes are sent to Military and Naval » Hospitals where wounded are treated. In acknowledgement of the things sent to .Lady French the following was received:— 54, Beauchamp place, Brompton Road, London, S. W. Dear Madam, We thank all those very much who have so kindly contributed towards the most generous present for the soldiers, in answer to Lady French's appeal, Faithfully Yours, C. Douglas, N. Selby Lowndes. The members of the Working Party are how starting to work for the Belgian Refugees, the Secretaries will be grateful for any help in Subscriptions or materials, they are also again sending comforts for the soldiers, and gar- ments for use in Hospital, during the next fortnight.
