THIS Article of Diet is prepared from a formula recommended by the celebrated Chemist, BARON LIKBEG, and since its introduction used with great success in Germany. The proprietor having been impressed, as an eye witness, with the beneficial effects resulting from its use, has been induced to bring it before the public, and thus supply a want long felt and acknowledged, via., a Food that shall form the most fitting substitute for the nutriment of those children who are by circumstances robbed of their mother's milk. It differs from all other Foods now in use, (which although undoubtedly possessing the elements of nutrition,) yet fail to nourish and make flesh, from the fact of their imposing too great a strain upon the weak stomachs of infants, which are unable to assimilate their Dutritive properties.^ These serious objections are obviated in the preparation of this Food, which, when made according to the directions given, will form a soap or liquid fcod, which, to quote Liebig," contains the double concentration of woman's milk." It is highly recommended as a light and agreeable article of diet for invalids suffering from dyspepsia, indigestion, and other derangem^pARED AXD S0LD By HENRY L. JONES, CHEMIST, MEDICAL HALL, NEWPORT, BEGS to call the immediate attention of all Owners of Stock to the necessity of taking the earliest possible steps to ward off any attack of the DISTEMPER, CATTLE PLAGUE, or MURRAIN, by the adoption of a safe, simple, and tolerably sure PREVENTIVE, similar to that in use for the last Twenty Years past for Young Cattle, It is a well known fact to every Breeder of Stock, that thousands of Youn,, Cattle die annually from the dread ravages of this self-same Murrain, Quarter Evil, or Black Quarter, which (for the want of this preventive) would otherwise be saved. If this disease once sets in, in young or old, to attempt a cure is almost hopeless. PREVENTION IS THE GRAND SECRET! This Drench and treatment can be recommended, and will meet the emergency. References of the hihest respecta- bility can be given, to Agriculturists,, both in this county and Herefordshire, who are prepare 1 to say, that since they have used this Drench and Treatment they rarely ever lose a Single Head of Stock from the above Disorder; whereas before its use they were constantly losing as many as Eighteen or Nineteen out of every Twenty Calves attempted to be reared. NO TIME SHOULD BE LOST IN GIVING IT TO FULL-GROWN CATTLE. The proper time for Drenching Calves is during the month of October or beginning November. PRICE FOR CALVES 4d EACH DRENCH.
