CATTLE. Roath (Cardiff), Tuesday.—'To-rlay being the great Christmas market, there v. as on offer a remarkably fine lot of choice cattle; rarely, indeed, has there been seen such a selection of cattle of sucii uniform quality. Time was when butchers used to vie tfn each oth?r for the fattest bullock, regardless altoge; lpr of The isnsequent waste. Now tne modern and up-to-daK katcher shuns the: soap-boxes," preferring to purchase good and useful beef builOcks only. Recognising this fact, cattle feeders are yearly catering' more in this line, and the style of cattle on ofTar to-day, both by auction and private treat", :rore than ever proved the rule.
