BOGUS STAR TURN. The story of a remarkable entertainmeafc hoax comes from Edinburgh, where a perform- ance at the Albert Hall had. been widely adver- tised with "The Zaaxigs" topping the bill. As a matter of fact "The Zanzigs," who made a sensation at the Alhambra with thought-reading turn some time, ago, are in America, and on the first night of the Edin- burgh show, when the hall was packed, a tele- gram was read from the stage stating that, "owing to Mr. Zanzig's illaesB, his company would be unable to appear this week." As this was the star turn, the audiene.e were given free passes for another night, and it was subsequently discovered that the man who took the hall had decamped with the takings, leaving about a dozen artiete stranded.
