BEAUMARIS foVvN COUNCIL. i Ihe monthly meeting of the Council wa^ I held on Tuesday, the Mayor (Alderman C«.». T. L. Hampton Lewis) in the chair. It w.as decided to engage the services oij the Edison steam-roller.. With regard to the prepensed new bathing place a letter was read from the Baron Hill Estate agent, and Alderman Sir R. Williams iBulkeley rose to explain what his intentions were. It was resolved that the bathing place which he was going to construct shoutd be taken over by the Council at JB50 per annnm for a term of 21 years, renewable for a similar period if found desirab e, also that the Coun- cil should extend the lase of that part of -the foreshore belonging to the Council, and required for the purposes of the new ba, ning place for a term of six ty years at th3 rent reserved by the existing lease. A communi- cation w4$ialtfo read from Mr C. Staples Owen, on behalf of the syndicate owning the present gentlemen's bathing place, asking the Council to take thit-, over,Councillors H.
