As the nature and duties of the office of IN- SPECTOR GENERAL (and not that of Inspector) of faxes, which I hold, and my conduct in such office, have been hitherto either wilfully, or from awafttof understanding, totally misrepresented, and still continue to he so, I think it due to the ofliee itself to shew what (he duties in question are, which may, perhaps be best done hy sub uiittiug to those who feel any interest in the hu- siness, the copy of an Affidavit, which was made in the prosecution ttie King against Creevey, nut which was not used when he was brought up tor judgment.
