COCKLE'S ANTIBILIOUS PILLS. These PILLS consist of a careful and peculiar admixture of the best and mild<Jst vegetable aperients with the pnre extract of the flowers of the camomile. They n il; be found a most efficacious remedy for derangement of tiie digestive organs, and for torpid action of the liver and bowels, whichproduce indigestion and the several varieties of livei complaints. They speedily remove the irritation atd feverish state of the tomach, alby 8pa"111, correct the morbid condition of the liver "lid organs 8uhgervent to digestion, promote a due and healthy secretion of bile, and relieve the constitution of all gouty nutters and other impurities which, by circulating in the blood, must injuriously affect the action of the kidneys; thus, by removing the causes productive of øo much discomfort they restorlJ tlU1 energies both of body and minri. To th.e who indulg-') in the luxuries of the table, these will prove highly useful, occasioning no pain iv. their action unless tnjy tiient with an unusual quaiitit) 01 acrid bile and acid matter in the stomach and howlL To Europeans, on their arrival in India or China, they are recomuended as a preserv )tive agains: the fatui disorder to a tropical climate. Their occasional use combined with the strictest atten- tion to diet, will be frclJuea fly found to remove at oace, by their influence over the secretions, that congestive and unhealthy condition of the liver which is so often the earliest antecedent of severe febrile and constitutional disturbances. It must be.tnderstood that these arc not recommended as containing any new or dangerously active ingredients; on th, contrary, they are characterised by a remarkable simplicity of combina- tion, and whatever they may be found to possess depends as much upon the selection of pure drugs, and the unusual labour and attention bestowed upon their subsequent preparation; as upon the acknow- ledged pecuharityof their composition They ar" not recommended as a panacea, nor are they adapted to aU complaints; but as a mild and efficacious aperientand tonic in the various forms of indigestion it not piifhaps be an exaggeration to state that they have been resorted to under all systems of diet, changes of climate, or atmospheric alterations, with an extraordinary degree of success for 86 years. Soc(tto CKoiSgfp. (From World.) The Royal yacht Alberta has not only undergone a thorough overhaul and refit, but the cabins have been redecorated very tastefully, and the turuiturel has been renewed. The Queen expressed hei approbation of the arrangemeuts when she crossed the SJleut the other day. It is understood that the patterns were selected by Prinoees Beatrice. The Prince of Wales's yacht, the Aline, which is to take part in some of the squadron regattas! i next week, has uudergone an extensive refit at: Cjwes duriug the last few weeks, and she hat been titled with new masts and a new deck. The Duke and Duchess of Connaught and their children hive gone down to Osborne to relieve Princess Christian in her attendance ou the Queon. The Duke and Duchess are, it is said, writiug an Bcoouut of their Indian experiences, takeu from the long weekly letters they wrote to the Queen. The book is to be illustrated by the Duchess, who took) many hundred sketches during her stay there. She I is a very good artist. The Duke of Clarence and Avondale goes tc Cortacliy Castlo on the 12th of August tor thei opening of the grouse-shooting. Lord Airlie's moori is a very good one, aud has suffered less from the! cold rains than most of the moors in that locality. I hear that King Charles of Roumauia, who is a member of the Hobenzollern-Sigmaringen family, is to be made a Knight of the Garter He will pro- bably be invested at Bucharest by the Prince of Wales in October next. The Prince of Wales is go ng to Hungary towards the end of September to visit Count Festetics and Count Karolyi, and there will be a series of hunting parties on their respective estates. The Emperor William is about to create an "Imperial" decoration, consisting of a GothiCj 31 oss bearing a portrait of his grandfather on the reverse, as a reward for services rendered to the Empire. Up to the present time all tho different 'decorations which have been at the disposal jofj the three German Emperors are exclusively of Prussian origin. Their donor invariably conferel, them in his capacity of King of Prussia. The new; -roat3 is to be given alike to meitorious Germans and distinguished Germans. The Emperor has ordered |»everal designs aud specimens of the "Imperial"; 31018 to be prepared for his inspection. Count Kiluoky is at last convalescent. He has been permitted by his doctors to return t 0 Vienna,' but they have cautioned him strongly again at 'resuming hard work too suddenly. Alderman Sir Reginald Hanson, Bart., has just: received from the King of the Hellenes the decora- tion of Commander of the Order of the Redeemer of Tieeoe. ——— (From Truth.) The Priuce is due at Homburg on Satu; day, jAu^ust 16th, for a stay of nearly three weeks, after which he goes to Kiel, for the German Naval [Manoeuvres, then to Fredenskorg, aud then to pay liome visits iu Hungary. It is certainly most silly and ridiculous that the porporation of Southampton should have voted iE500 of the ratepayers' money, to defray the cost at decorating the town in honour 01 the Queen's nsit next Saturday, inasmuch as her Majesty will aot laud, and the Royal yacht is simply to steam .nto the new dock, pass round it, and theu return :o East Cowes. The Mayor and Corporation will aot even be allowed to present the customary ad- Iress, and it was only with difficulty that the Queen consented to receive an address from the Dock Company. Princess Beatrice is writing a book on laoe, which is to be illustrated by herself. The work will pro- bably be printed only for private circulation. The Duke of Edinburgh and the Duke of Connaught are to be at Goadwood on the Cup Day. I understand that one result of the breach be- tween the German Emperor and Prince Bismarck will be the early publication of a considerable por- tion of the Emperor Frederick's famous diary, about which there was such a fuss just two years ago. The Empress Frederick is very anxious that the Queen should go to Berlin in .November for the wedding of Priuce Adolphus of Sohaumburg-Lippe and Princess Victoria, but it is very unlikely that her Majesty will consent to do so, as it would be a uioet unpleasant season tor an expedition to North Uermauy. I hear that the Queen has beeu asked to grant the late Sir Francis Seymour's apartments in Ken- sington Palace to his widow, Lady Seymour. The Prince had a sharp attack of fever, and was really ill when he opened the new Courts of Justice at York last week, but as he did not wish to disappoint the sightseers he would not put off the engagement. The Duke is now in garrison at York, but in a short time will proceed to Scarborough or one of the Yorkshire watering-places: to complete his con valesceuce.I'Iie honorary oolonelcy of the 3rd London Rifles, vaoaut by the death of Lord NApier of Magdala, has been accepted by His Royal Hurhness. The Prince and Princess of Wales will remain at' Cowes uutil about the 14th of August, and will then' leave Eugland ior their visit to the Continent. Ou his way the Duke will! stop at Bonn ou the 1st of August to inspect the 2nd Battalion of the 28th Regiment of Infautry,of which ihe is the titular chief, and on. the following day his will review the two other battalions at Coblontz. The Emperor William was very anxious to be pre- sent in person at Heligoland when the island is givou: Sover to Germany in September, but as it would be jcoutrary to German etiquette for the Emperor to go unless Her Majesty were present, he has been ru-I jluctautly obliged to abandon the idea. In all proba- bility the Duko of Edinburgh and Prince Heury of 'Prussia will represent the two countries at the care-I linony aud subsequent naval demonstration. The little King of Spain has never quite recovered from the serious illness which attacked him last winter, but, thauks to the fine sea air of San Sebaa- tinn, he has now greatly improved iu health. His mother, the Queen Christina, is naturally most an- xious about his health, and has decided to keep her, json at the seaside until late iu the autumn, as Madrid iu the hot seasou is by no meaus a desir- able place of resideuce for a child. The little king is very bright aud intelligent, and enjoys the free- dom aud absenoe of restraint at San Sebastian extremely. The Comto de Paris aud the Due d'Orleans willi sail for Now York at the end of September. The Comto de Paris wiil only renniu in theUnitedStates for about a month, but the Due d'Orleaus will make a prolouged visit, and will not return to Englaud i for at Ieabt sir. mouths. The Duo de Chartres, has left Eughuid for his country seat, St. Ternin, near I Chantilly, where his daughter, Priucesse Waldemar of Denmark, has arrived on a visit to her parents. Local pauers do make funny mistakes. A local journal aiiirmed that the Bishop of St. Aaaphj recently spoke of something that he had doue in his' "younger and masher days." As a matter of fact, the worthy prelate aaid "raslier." I hear Bermuda was substituted for the 2nd 1 Grenadier Guards' destination instead of the Cape, as Sir Henry Loch is supposed to have asked for two regiments for the Cape in case of possible emergencies, so had the Guards been sent there it would have looked as if they had been sent on active service instead of being puuishedjthereby.
