SOUTH WALES FINANCE
SOUTH WALES FINANCE MONDAY, October 28th, 1895. The chief feature of to-day's market lay in Bute Dry Dock Shares, which in the course of the day were materially reduced in value. Business took place in them at prices varying from 55 to 51%, and the quotation was marked down 5 points. It was rather curious, however, to find that at the close a well-nigh complete transforma- tion too'" place. On rumours of the com- pany's amalgamation with another impor- tant local dry dock concern prices rose suddenly to 60 sellers, with a number of buyers at 52. A fair number of transactions were reported in local railway stock and shares. Barry Preferred Ordinary Stock changed hands at 125, and the Deferred Ordinary was offered at 144, whilst several parcels of the Undivided were put on the market. --------LONDON STOCK EXCHANGE.
LONDON STOCK EXCHANGE. LONDON, Monday. The Money Market has been firm in tone, and for the moment there is more doing.
