There is now a regular communication by mail and othe coaches, and steam packets, between Carnarvon, Liverpool and Chester, and the projected Railways will bring Camai von and its neighbourhood into still closer connection wit those and other great towns of England. To the sportsman it cannot fail to have peculiar charms, as it is within a few hundred yards of two capital trout streams, an easy distance of the Snowdonian and several other lakes, celebrated for their fish, and is in a sporting country in all respects. In the neighbourhood are a pack of Harriers, and a pack of Otter Hounds. The much admired Town of Carnarvon (where there are two English Church Services on Sundays,) with its magni- ficent Castle, and other interesting objects of attraction, is on the banks of the Straits of Menai, which afford excellent sea bathing and aquatic amusements. Chester and Rolyhead Railway. WANTED by this Company about two hundred and fifty thousand Railway Sleepers, not less than nine feet long, triangular in section, out of good sound Memel or Dantzic Timber, in logs perfectly straight, and9| or 13! inches square, sawn diagonally, the former into two, the lat- ter into four Sleepers. The cut to be made perfectly true, and sawn or otherwise, brought to a parallel breadth on the face of twelve inches, with the edges at right angles thereto. The remaining' angles, forming the base, to be chamfered off to a width of one inch, parallel with the face or upper sur- face. Any Sleepers not in accordance with this description, or that are otherwise defective, will be rejected. Tenders will be received for any quantity of the foregoing not less than 10,000. The price to include delivery on wharf at Holyhead, Bangor, Conway, Mostyn Quay, Ches- ter, or either of them, in such proportions as may from time to time be directed. Delivery to commence on the 1st of June next, and to be completed in twenty months for the entire quantity, and in such time for the several portions as may be directed. Security will be required for the due ful- filment of the Contract. Payment for each month's delivery, approved by the Engineer, will be made at the end of tlie following month, in cash.
