BRUNSWICK ANNUAL TEA and CONCERT. Yesterday the annual tea and concert in connec- tion with the Brunswick Wesleyan Sunday Schools was held at the Grand Pavilion. There was a crowded attendance, and the meetings were in every way a success. The kitchen arrangements were attended to by Mrs Evans, 2 East Parade and Mrs Hughes, Abbey Street. Those who had charge of the cutting up were:—Mrs J Pierce Lewis, Mrs Richard Edwards; Mrs Hughes, Mor- ley Road Mrs Thos Davies, Mrs Edwards, Mrs Davies, South Kinmel Street; and Misses Lewis, Wellington Road. The ladies who took charge of the tables and assisted generally were: Mrs Foulkes, Albert Villa Mrs Evans, Brunswick Villa Mrs Evans, Brighton Road Mrs Morris Jones, Abbey St; Mrs W M Williams, High St; Mrs Evans, 14 West Parade Mrs J Jones, Russell Buildings Mrs Thomas, Cawnpore Villa; Mrs E P Roberts, High-street; Mrs and Miss Williams, 5 Aquarium- street Mrs Wynne, River-street; Mrs Minshull, Mount Pleasant; Mrs Ecclesson, Mount Pleasant; Mrs D Thomas, West Parade Mrs Meyrick Jones, Elwy-street Mrs Davies, Pont-y-Gwter; Mrs Roach, Misses C Edwards, Plastirion E Hughes, High-street; A Hughes, Abbey-street, Williams, 60 High-street; H Thomas Deacon, John-street; Mrs and Miss Davies, Llys Awen; Miss Hughes, Elwy House; Misses Jones (2), Crescent-road Roberts, William-street; L Evans, Chiswell Amos, Cresender, C Thomas, L Thomos, M Bowen, C Williams, J Davies, Williams, Abbey-street; Edwards, Church-street; Jones, Sisson-street and B Wynne. Mr J (R Hughes and Mr Jos Davies discharged the duties of secretaries, and the stewards were:—Messrs Ellis Evans, J Pierce Lewis, W M Williams, R Edwards, R Ellis, D Thomas, R Williams, H Evans, L E Thomas, P Jones, Jos Cunningham, J Williams, W Eccleston, Thos Evans, Jno Jones, E P Roberts, A Thomas, G Jones, W H Roberts, T M Jones Wynne, and Hughes, Kinmel-street. In the evening the sacred cantata, in ten scenes, entitled "Belshazzar'g Feast," or "The Fall1 of Babylon," was performed by a choir of 100 voices, Mr J Pierce Lewis being the conductor. The impersonations were as follows:—Mrs Pierce Lewis, soprano (Nitocris, Queen of Babylon); Miss Hannah Thomas, contralto (Lady of the Court); Miss Edith Hughes, contralto (A Jewish Maiden); Miss Bessie Wynne, soprano (Angel, Messenger from the Lord to Cyrus); Mr J 0 Williams, Bass (Belshazzar, King ot Babylon); Mr Dan Jones tenor (Daniel); Mr James Dowell, baritone (Hana- niah); and Mr Denton Davies, tenor (a Lord of the Court). Mr R Llew Jones presided Mr W M Williams was the narrator, and Misses Nance Evans and Annie Owen the accompanists.
