MIRACULOUS ESCAPE.—On Friday evening last, about 7 o'clock, Mrs Lloyd, Tremeirchion, and her two little sons, were driving home down Vale-atreet. When in Vale-street, by some- means, the pony took fright and bolted, Mrs Lloyd losing control of the animal. It dashed along at a terrifio speed until it came by the smithy, when it ran against the parapet, and threw the occupants out of the trap. By thus running into the parapet its speed was slackened, and the animal was ultimately stopped. The escape was miraculous, Mrs Lloyd and her two children only receiving a severe shaking, no injury being caused to the animal and no damage being done to the trap, FOUKPAWBS, AXDERTON AND HASLAM'S j ,SHows.-On Friday last, the renouned hypo- drome circus of the above, visited Denbigh, and a marquee of an extraordinary size was erected in Howetl's School park. At noon, two excel- lent bands, in large coaches, paraded the town. Two performances were given, one in the after- noon and the other at night, and the attendance was very large. The various performances were muoh appreciated. After the circus perform- ances, there was an interval of five mmul ea. during which the large gathering worked their way to the menagerie. This show contained several grown up lions and lionesses ana various other animals. Capt Rolands, who is by now known to be a clever lion tamer, visited Denbigh for the second time, and was accorded a hearty reception. He entered a cage containing bears hyenas and wolfs, and made the bear dance to the music of the band. He afterwards entered a cage containing two fall grown lionesses and put fcbom through a clwr sre- performance; while the thira t'a&- *• -rsd was that eontaining an untamable lion, six years old, by whioh he had been attacked on two or Lhree occasions.
