They will be found a most efficacious remedy for derangement of the digestive organs, and for torpid action of the liver and bowels, which prod uce indigestion and tho several varieties of bilious and liver complaints. They speedily remove the irritation and feverish state of the stomach, allay spasms, correct the morbid condition of the liver and organs subservient to digestion, promote a due and healthy secretion of bile. and relieve the constitution of all gouty matters and other :mpuritie3 which, by circulating "in the blood, must injuriously affect the action of the kidneys; thus, by removing the causes productive of so much discomfort they restore ths' energies both of horly and mind. To those who induige in the luxuries of the table, these Pills wiil prove highly useful, occasioning no pain i" their action unless they iueat with an unusual quantity of acrid bile and acid matter ;n the stomach and bowel. To Europeans, on their arrival in India or Ch'na, they aro recommended as a preservitivo against the fatal disorder peculiar to a tropical climate. Their occasional use combined with the strictest atten- tion to diet, will ba frequently found to remove at O;lce, by their influence over the secretion*, that congestive and unhealthy condition of the Hve: which is so often the earliest antecedent of severs febrile and constitutional disturbances. It must be understood that these PiUg are not recommended as containing any new or dangerously activc ingredients; on The contrary, they are characterised by a remarkable simplicity of combina- tion, and whatever they may be found to possess depcr.ds as much upon the selection of pure drugs, and the unusual labour and attention bestowed upon their subsequent preparation, as upon the acknow- 1 seized peculiarity of their composition. They at e not recommended as a panacea, nor are they adapted to a: coir-plaints; but 303 a mild and efficacious aperient an'd tonic in the various forms of indigestion it will not perhaps bean exaggeration to state that they have been resorted to under all systems of diet, changes of climate, or atmospheric altoratiom,wi..i) an extraordinary degree of success for 8(5 years. '4i.) d everywhere A Young Married Woman of Twentv Y0q.rF4. A RESPECTABLE young woman, not more than twenty years of age, lives at 63, Bridge-street, New Swindon, Wilts. Her name is Collin. Seven months ago this poor creature became a mother, and a week later took cold, and became perfectly paralysed. Her casp was the most deplorable we have ever witnessed, for she could not move hand or foot, and her legs were very much tucked; the feet were turned in and much bent out of shape. In this helpless state she lay in the home of her parents, carefully watched by her mother. She is her mother's only child, and a more helpless baby now than at any time in her life. All care and attention were bestowed upon her, and the medical men, who, doubtless, tried all that they knew, as the saying goes, declared it utterly hopeless, nothing on this earth could save her; but, in order that the parents should be satisped, she could be removed to some London Hospital, where other medical men could be consulted. The poor young creature was carefully taken to St. Mary's Hospital, where she got worse. After remaining a month, nothirg could be done for her; she would die within a week, her parents were told, who determined to get her home. After her removal to Swindon she grew worse, lost her speech and sight,, and sometimes her teeth were shut firmly and unopenablc. The he dache, which had been incessant, was now distressing. The parents had now no hope of their only child, andthe baby, too, was very ill and not expected to live. The husband, who worked at the G.W.R. Carriage Works, had heard so much of the wonderful cures effected by the Mooaseed Bitters that he could resist no longer, but stealthily procured a bottle and gave his wife daily as he could catch the opportunity. The first dose relieved the head she slept, and the parents and neighbours marvelled at the change. For some days the husband faithfully administered the little drops cf Moonseed Bitters. In a week the patient could reason and move her fingeril and left hand. The medical men were astonished at the improvement. In a fortnight the tuekel legs could be put straight, the left arm freely used, and the patient could feed herself, and turn over in bed. The medical men, who had been very carefully watching the case, now learned the secret The mother hastened to consult the proprietor of Moonseed Bitters, who, upon seeing the case, said lie would put the patient on her legs in a month. One of the surgeons who had attended the case said tho proprietor of Moonseed Bitters would be made a baronet if he did cure the patient. How- ever. she could walk down stairs at the month's end, and is now daily seen walking about the streets of New Swindon, with less than two months' treat- ment, to the astonishment of all its inhabitants. The infant, too, is perfectly cured. f J The proprietor of Moonseed Bitters, who has spent thousands of pounds in experimenting, has long ago come to the conclusion that the present system of medicine is an absolute farce, and that tho»?ands that nro being swept away would be cured if they would insist upon taking Moonseed Bitters. It is the Only Cure for Consumption. Hundreds of patients apply to me (who are said to be in consumption by some of the best English practitioners) who are not consumptive at all. Many of them are offended at being told that they are suffering from some mucous mischief. I have seen many hundreds who have taken large quantities of a largely advertised article said to cure consumption. I have never seen one consumptive benefitted by it, but I have known many die while taking it. I have known many who have been told by some medical men. that they were consumptive, who had a severe cough and much expectoration, benefitted, and some few cured and. of course, a testimonial was sent to the effect that another consumptive had been cured. The patient bdieving it to be true, and the advertiser, not knowing any better, advertised it as such. We never accept a testimonial from any person who has not been given up as incurable, and we never publish any case unless it comes under our direct care. A good vegetable medicine is as necessary as food. Moonseed Bitters is the best and surest. Nearly every pill made and advertised as Camomile Dandelion, Berdock, &c., &c and of great value is little else than aloes. The dose of the pure extract of Camomile, Dandelion, Burdock, or any other common herb, is one or two teaspoonfulls. Who but a madman would expect to find his quantity in a dose of pills? It is the aloes, or aloes and soAp, which act as a purgative, and the ignorant say they are good pills. This is not the rig-ht vegetable except for the advertisers, who know that once you take them you will always need them. Moonseed Bitters is the masterpiece of medical compounds. Try and analyse it. There is no person who cannot be made better by taking it. 11 We do not ask what is the Disease that is coming upon ua it is too Ridiculous. Our question ii. What is this disease that has come upon us ? The answer is- fraud! fraud! fraud! We do not allow you to write to grateful patients for information if ycru do not believe what they have written, you cannot believe any- thing else that they could write, and you evince your extreme ignorance when gou write to inquire. It is simply asking the patient if he is truthful, and we think you extremely childish to supp -se that we could advertised names and addresses hi your own towns and villages if not true. If you want further particulars send U> stamped addressed envelope, containinq two penny stamps for pamphlet, A. •C. Powell Co., Swindon, Wilts. The nervous need no longer be swindled by those who give away prescriptions which cannot be dispensed, and then charge a lot of money for forwarding some vile trash. Remember that no compound on earth cures nervous debility like Moonseed Bitters Latest Testimony as to Moonseed Bitters. Upper Park, Welsh Bignor, near Ross, Herefordshire. February 27th, 1888. DEAR SIR,—I cannot thank you enough for your advertising the Moonseed Bitters it has been a great blessing to me, as 1 have been a great sufferer for three years, and been given up by seven doctors, and the last was the head physician of the Samaritan Hospital; London, where I was sent by my doctor after twelve months' treatment, and for the last six months he visited me every week. Then he said he could do no more for me, as it was a cancer in the back, and I must go through an operation. I went to London, where they held a consultation over me, and came to the conclusion that I was too weak, and it w s combined too much in the back, so I was sent home incurable, where I kept my bed for ten months, and could not get out or ttfrn in bed without help, when a friend brought in the Rom GaztUe for me to read, and I saw the Moonseed Bitters advertised. I told my husband that I should like to try it. and he said I was to try a bottle, but it may be thrown away like the rest. I got a bottle, and the third day I felt better, and in a week I could dress myself and walk from one room to another, and in a fortnight I could come down stairs, and after I woke up from sleep I feel quite refreshed, but I always used to be so weary. My friends all say that I a-.i a wonder, and it is a great mystery what Moonseed Bitters have done. You are at liberty to make use of this,—I remain, yours truly, MARY ANN LOCKE, We answer no letters referring to Moonseed Bitters unless accompanied by 4s. 9d, or 2s. Patients who have kindly allowed their names to be advertised wi:l kindly put all letters questioning them upon the fire. If there is one pill upon earth worth a guinea a box Moonseed Bitters is worth ten thousand guineas a bottle For females of all ages it is of inestimable value, doing what all other medicines fail to do. All females are warned never to take iron or steel, and all persons are warned that iron or steel decays the teeth, &c quinine hardens the brain, and sometimes gives fearful headaches. For Biliousness, Liver Disorders of aW kinds, Dropsy, Wind, ani Indigestion, one DottIe of Moonsecd Bitters is worth a thousand bottles of Podophyllin and Taraxacum. If any unprincipled dealer toils you that he can make something as good as Moonseed Bitters for your case, remember that there is nothing on earth to equal Moonseed Bitters. Thi-i truly marvellous remedy has been highly improved, and a 4s. 6d. bottle contains a full month's medicine. No doctor or physician is required. We guarantee to cure Cancer in its worse form before and after amputation, if as large as the head of a two-pound loaf. All the inhabitants of Swindon know this.
