HARRIS will SELL by AUCTION, at the Royal Hotel, Cardiff, oil THURSDAY, the day of September, 1S78, at Two o'clack in the afternoon, subject to such conditions of sale as shall be then produced, unless sold in the mean- time by private contract, all that VALUABLE LEASEHOLD COLLIERY, CALLED NANTHIR," Recently opened on t-vo seams of the best coal, situate in the Garw Valley, in the parish of Llangeinor, in the county of Glamorgan, together with the valuable engines, machinery, plant, and materials. The colliery has becn opened by drifts and levels, and the whole of the coal can be very cheaply produced without the cost of shafts. The seams of coal are in excellent condition, and none of the coal has been worked out. Superior engines and machinery have been erected, and these and the other plant are suited to a large daily out-put of coal. The mining rights in the lease extend under the Nanthir Farm, which is about 50 acres in extent, but the property is the key to a large range of the same seams under adjoining lau's of very considerable area. The lease includes all the coal, iron ore, building stone, and fireclay, under Nanthir Farm. The dead rent is very small, and the royalties are moderate. ..A siding has been constructed connecting the colliery with the Great Western Railway, The colliery is only nine miles from Bridgend, and is at a short distance from the ports of Cardiff, Porthcawl, Neath, and Swansea. There are the usual workshops and offices for colliery purposes. The only reason for the sale of the CoUiery is that the subscribed capital of the Company, which Is eomprised principally of workin men, naving been expended in opening the Colliery, aod in the machinory and pIant, they are unable to provide the trade capital necessary for carrying on the works. This would be a most desirable investment for small capitalists, as the coliiery is on a main line of railway, lmd the coal commands a ready market at first-class prices, and can be worked at moderate cost, For further particulars, apply to Messrs Harris and Taylor, Auctioneers, or to Messrs SIMONS & PLEWS, Solicitors, Merthyr Tydfil. Dated 24th August, 1878. 34558 CROSS KEYS, RISCA, MONMOUTHSHIRE. TO TIMBER MERCHANTS, RAILWAY WAGON BUILDERS, AND OTHERS. SALE OF OAK AND ASH TIMBER (FELLED LAST SEASON). MR. T. E.
