TUB CORK STEAM SHIP COMPANY GIVE NOTICE, that they will not he accountable or answerable for any loss arising from fire, perils, dangers, or accidents of the sea, strandings, collisions, escapo of steam, accidents to machinery, or other accident, damage, or injury whatsoever attending navigation nor for the faults, negligences, or mistakes of the Captain, Offi- cers, or Crew in navigating the vessel, on which goods may be shipped, unless the goods be particularised, and the value thereof declared to the Company at the time of shipment, and an additional freight be paid, or agreed to be paid, upon the said declared value. The rate can be ascertained at the Com- pany's Offices. All Goods sent to the Company for conveyance or shipment, unaccompanied with such particulars and declaration of value, will only be received and carried by this Company, at the ex- press risk of the Shipper, Consignee, or Owner of such Goods, as to all loss, or damage, however caused, and be subject to the terms of this notice; and in the transmission thereof, the Captain, Officers, and Crew of the vessel carrying such goods, shall be considered (as between the Shipper, Owner, or Con- signee of such goods, and this Company), to be the servants of such Shipper, Owner, or Consignee. That the Shipper, Owner, or Consignee of goods shall not be entitled to claim (in case of loss) beyond the amount, or pro- portional amount of value upon which the additional froight shall be chargeable. This Company will not take charge of, or be responsible or accountable^ for goods liift on the quays or wharfs; nor for any deficiency m, or damage done to the interior of bales, cases, parcels, or packages, unless such bales, cases, parcels, or pack- ages, be packed in the presence of an officer of this Company. Disputed Weight or Measurement, Damage, &c., cannot be allowed unless noted at the Company's Office before the re- moval of goods, and unless claims (in writing) be sent in to the Company on the day of delivery; and in no case will the Owners of the Steamer hold themselves liable for deficiency of weight, unless the goods be actually weighed previous to going on board the vessel, and a certificate of the same be obtained from the Captain. All goods are at the risk of the Owner or Consignee from the time of being landed from the vessel. This Company will not undertake to carry the goods by a particular vessel, nor on a particular day. The person or car- rier bringing or forwarding the goods for shipment will be con- sidered as the agent of the Shipper, Owner, or Consignee thereof.
