THE WELSH LAND COMMISSION. OFFICIAL CIRCULAR. An official circular has been prepared giving the principals pointsi on which information will be desired by the Welsh Land Commission. Questions will be asked of each witness as to the influence of the various conditions of tenure on the occupa- tion an'd cultivation of the land as to tenancy, agreements and leases, rent, and the various charges on the land as to condition of farming and improvements as to game preserving, agricultural education, and facilities for carrying and disposing of agricultural produce as to co- operation and combination, and the general con- dition of the farming population. An endeavour will also be made to ascertain the condition of the land in question at certain specified periods during the past 50 years, in order to arrive at some idea as to the rise and fall in agricultural prosperity. The questions are of a searching character, and intending witnesses would do well to study them in order to render their evidence of any real value. It is also desired that witnesses should send their names to tHe secretary, C; Old Palace-yard, London, together with a brief statement of itltp ofthe evidence they are prepared to offer.
