I EXTREMELY POLITE. The officials on the Rome, Waterwwn, and Ogdensburg Railroad, between Utioa and Mas- Bena Springs, N.Y., are noted for their courtesy. Two ladies, in a little town in northern New York, who had not met for some time, met one day on the railroad track which runs through the main street of the town. Their meeting was marked by an exclamation and ombraoes. The train pulled in at the station, near where the ladies stood chatting. The passengers got off. J'he trunks were trundled away. 46U the train did not go on. After about twenty minutes, the engineer alighted and stepped up to the ladies. Politely removing his cap, he remarked: "Par- 1 don me, ladies, for interrupting you; but we had planned on reaching Potedara this morning. and I if you would not mind stopping off the traok we t will be moving along."
