(Election Jlbtass* BARRY DISTRICT COUNCIL. TO THE ELECTORS OF THE CASTLE LAND WARD. "r ADIES AND GENTLEMEN, Having been repeatedly urged by a large number of influential Ratepayers to offer myself as Candidate for a seat on the District Council at the forthcoming Election, I have decided to come forward as Candidate for the Castleland Ward, in which I have been a resident for sixteen years, and have considerable interests. The affairs of Barry have been so mixed up for some time past with unseemly bickerings and personalities that our true municipal interests have been overlooked and neglected. If chosen to represent you, I will devote my best energies, time, experience, and ability to the general uplift- ing and betterment of the Town. Being one of the oldest tradesmen in the District I have grown with the Town and am acquainted and closely identified with its particular require- ments. Doubtless I am well, and I venture to hope,' favourably known to each individual elector. I trust, therefore, when the time for election arrives, I may be favoured with your confidence and support, I beg to remain, Ladies and Gentlemen, Ycurs obediently, JOHN MARSHALL. 76, Holton Hoad, Barry Docks, February 14th, 1906. TO THE ELECTORS OF THE CASTLELAND WARD. L ADIES AND GENTLEMEN, Having been unanimously nominated by the Progressive Electoral Committee, who also appointed a deputation (the Rev D. H. Williams, Mr J. R Levers, and Mr R. Hull), to wait upon my ohurch to influence them to bring pressure to bear upon me, I have, therefore, resolved to again seek your suffrages. My views will be fully laid before you in my Election Address, and I hope to personally call upon every elector. Meanwhile relying upon your continued confidence and support, I am, Ladies and Gentlemen, Yours faithfully, T. PANDY JOHN. Kelvin House, Barry Docks. BARRY DISTRCT COUNCIL. I have carried on business at Cadoxton for the past fifteen years, and being myself a large rate- payer, if elected, the ratal and municipal interests of the town shall have my closest attention, and by regular attendance at the meetings of the Council, 1 trust to be able to discharge the duties to your entire satisfaction. I hope to have the pleasure of calling upon the Electors, and stating my views, before the day of the poll. Meanwhile, I beg to solicit the favour of your vote and influence on my behalf.
