CARDIFF. FREEDOM OF THE COUNTY BOROUGH.—The Cardiff Corporation have accepted the tender of Mr H. B. Crouch, the well-known jeweller, &c., of St. Mary's-atreet and Queen-street, Cardiff, for the supply of the silver casket in which the scroll of the freedom of the County Borough will be pre- sented to H.R.H. the Prince of Wales on the occasion of his visit to Cardiff next month. The casket will be of an exceedingly handsome description. MESSRS BEVAN AND COMPANY, LIMITED.— The fifteenth annual report and financial statement of Messrs Bevan and Company, Limited, the Cardiff Furnishers, has just been issued, showing a net profit for the year of £ 3,526 after providing for adequate reserve, the total amount available for dividend being j63,563 12s 5d. An interim dividend of 7 per cent. on preference shares had been paid, and 5 per cent. on the ordinary shares, and final dividends at the same respective rates had been declared, carrying forward the balance to next year's account.
