One day last week, however, a fine hare made its appearance alongside the Barry No. 2 Dock, having probably strayed from oovflr at Sully. The visitor was espied by some coal- trimmers and tippers who were,? rQ1-aoj „nf3 -e Ships. A hue-and-cry was promptly raised, and in a few minutes quite a couple of hundred men and several dock constables were in bot pursuit. Pass failed to get back to the open, and sought temporary refuge by leaping into the dock and swimming for dear life towards the other side. A couple of trimmers put out in a boat and rowed in pursuit, but one of the crew of a vessel lying close by flung a lump of coal at the fugitive. The aim was true the hare was struck on the head, and it sank and was drowned.
