To the Editor of the Wrexham Advertiser. SIR,-Yo,ar last week's paper contained a letter from Mr Thomas Roberts, complaining that his Tender of X20 for some old Pumps and Tanks at the Workhouse was mot accepted. The Guardians think it right that Mr Roberts should receive an explanation of the transaction; and it is simply this :—They found one of the tanks could be made use of, and save them an outlay of zElO at least. They therefore resolved to keep it, and advertize the pumps and one tank again. As they obtained zC14 5s. for the pumps, &c., and kep a tank worth JEH) (not £ 1 5s., as stated by Mr Roberts), they consider they did batter than by. ac- cepting Mr Roberts' tender of £20.
