TO THE INHABITANTS OF FLINT- TSHIRE. -In the early part of the present year, the Committee of the FLINTSHIRE DISPENSARY brought be. fore the public their view. as to its being desirable to convert the present Dispensary into a County Infirmary, stating at the same time the iberal ffen made to them by the Marquess of Westminster, Sir John Hanmor, Bart., M.P., and others, in aid of their views. In the piio. of the Committee, the object might be satisfactorily accomplished with a sum of 94000, for bJf ..d ftf;:e iitti and an ní income of 9400 for its maintenance. Towards the Build- ing Fund the Committee has received offers amounting to £Z757 8s. Od., and Annual Subscriptions to £44 17s. Od., which, with the existing subscriptions to the Dis- pensary, amount to about C255 there remains, there- -e, a deficiency on the proposed building d, of a on £1250, and of annual subscriptions of a ut 2150. The above suin. cannot be raised without the united i;o-opciaWOU or tiliv Oi'i.J 1Q..1'VA 1.11+ .1.unh ,1. the proposed Institution might easily be founded and maintained, and its existence would be an honor to the County, and a great blessing to those for whose benefit it is intended. With this statement, the Committee again make an earnest appeal to the inhabitants of Flintshire, for funds to enable them to undertake the proposed work, and they trust it will not lie made in vain. It being due to those who have already promised their aid, that the work should be either commenced soon, or abandoned, the Committee would be greatly obliged to those who have promised to assist in this laudable work (but who have not stated to what extent), and others who would wish to do so, to inform them as early as po8sible, through the Honorary Secretary, Mr. EDWARD JONES, what they pro- pose to subscribe, either towards the building fund, or annual subscriptions. In no case should such communi- cations be made later than the 21st DECEMBER next, when the result will determine the future actions of the Committee. Holywell, October 31st, 1860. TO BUILDERS. TENDERS are required for Building a TCHURCH at Llawr-y-Bettws, near Corwen. Draw- ings and Specifications are to be seen at the OWEN GLYN- DIVR HOTEL, CORWEN. Tenders to be addressed to JOHN LLOYD, Esq., Rhagatt, Corwen, Merionethshire, on or before MONDAY, December 17th, and any further parti- culars may be obtained from G. G. SCOTT, Esq., 20, Spring Gardens, London, S.W. The Committee do not bind themselves to accept the lowest or any tender. PROPOSED MEMORIAL CHURCH TO THE LATE SIR ROBERT AND LADY VAUGHAN, AT LLAWR-Y-BETTWS, IN THE PARISH OF LLAN- FOR, MERIONETHSHIRE (NOT FAR FROM RHUG.) THE following Correspondence will explain Tthe circumstances of the case, and it is hoped that those who enjoyed the friendship of the late Sir ROBERT and Lady VAUGHAN, may be induced to contribute to- wards effecting so good and desirable an object DRUID, CORWEN, Oct. 22,1859. My LonD, Having for the last five years officiated as Chaplain at Rhug Chapel, I am naturally anxious, before I leave the neighbourhood, to do what I can to carry out the frequently-expressed wish of Sir ROBERT and Lady VAUGHAN, with respect to the erection of a Church at Llawr-y-Bettws. Towards this object they had offered $500, and a site but owin g to their sudden removal these means are no longer available. thS:cÜ::i:r:a¿ed:c:bl:' has been suggested to me by several of their friends, that a Church in that district would be a most suitable Memorial, and they have readily promised to contribute towards it. I there- fore take the earliest opportunity o! laying this pro- ,1 before your rd8xip in the hope of obtaining your Lordship's sanction and advice towards accom- plishing an object which they so much longed for, and which, if they had been spared &little longer, they would undoubtedly have effected. Your Lrdihi u well aware of the neglected state of the district, which contains a pulation of about and that it is more than 8 -Ul" l Ymm the Puish Church. Your Lordship is also aware, I believe, that a convenient site can be procured, and that an Endowment is reatly. I trust the circumstances of my position in this neigh- bourhood will prove a sufficient apology for my having taken on mysel to mention this scheme, which I know has the sanction of many of the most influential resitlents in the Princi?ality, and which I trust may meet with your L.?dhi ip s ar-vaL your LordÎ:fv: 1h:r to remain, my Lord, Your Lordshi ?.t bedient Servant, VIELIAN RICHARD80N. The Lord Bishop of St. Asaph. ST. ASAPH, Oct. 24, 1859.
