To IHIS VAST DOMAIN Mr. Robins seriously invokes the early attention of the great Capitalist; for it never can be doubted by intelligent minds that agricultural pursuits, which have been visited severely during the last few years, while the funds have maintained the present exceedingly high price, will soon find the benefit of an approach- ing and very favourable reaction; besides which, TillS LITTLE (the subject of our present remarks), the whole coun- try i, actuated by the best feelings. The word incen- diary is not to be found in the Welsh vocabulary it is so uii-En;;lish as not to be recognised in the mind of a Cambro-Briton. In these happy regions political discussions are never permitted to intrude upon or intcrfere with the more natural and substantial pur- suits of the hone;! yeoman. The certain consequence has been PUNCTUALITY IN THE PAYMENT OF RENTS, and in the event of an occasional but rare diminution, it may be inferred it was a concession arising out of the kind feeling of the liberal possessor, rather than to any real necessity. The situation of the property has much to recommend it with those who delight in SPLENDID WOODLAND SCENERY, and who do not obect to a distant view of TIll: COAST OF SOMERSET AND DEVON for it should be observed that custom has long since proclaimed the BEAUTEOUS VALE OF GLAMORGAN THE GARDEN OF sOrTII WALES." The Estate will also possess great charms to all those who delight in field sports. There is not a better 1,lUnting country in England. An excellent pack of lox hounds is kept in the neighbourhood, and a crack pack of harriers are close at hand. THE RIVER OGMORE, SO CELEBRATED FOH ITS SALMON, AND SrL, is only six miles off; Minerals are in great abundance, as well as lime an d coa A CANAL FROM CARDIFF to Merthyr Tydvil is very useful to take off the surplus grain, where ihe consumption is to a great extent, and always certain. The property is divided into Two Estates- THE LLANSANNOR AN1) THE YSTRADY. FODOG the one 1,778a lr :51" the other 1,654a 3r 34p. The principal farm house, a few years ago, was occupied by the family, and might be restored to all its legiti- mate and pristine rightsbyamoderateoutlay of money. A portion of the Estate is 'j};;};(!:e AND ;111-: WHOLE IS SCB- JECT TO A VERY -MODERATE POOR HATE. Such are a few only of the leading points connected with one of the largest and certainly the most elrgrhlc Estates and favourable investments for capital that has been in the market during the present season. DECEASED, comprehending a very fine property, and for many years accounted one of the leading features of the count v, the value and peculiar features of which will he well appreciated in the neighbourhood, as well as I hroughollt THE COUNTY OF CORNWALL, where he was so deservedly popular. lll'mnprehel1l1s TWO VALUABLE FREEHOLD ESTATES lying vcry compaet and well together, in the most favoured and fertile part of the county, viz. The Mansion, so deservedly famed throughout the county, is adapted to L'ive effect to all the legitimate wants of A nJAN OF HIGH FAMILY PRETENSIONS; there is not a comfort that does not appear conspicu- ous everywhere. It is environed by A WELL-TLMBEIIED PARK, and the Plantation-walks, Lawns, Shrubberies, and Gardens, have been long the theme of high commenda- tion. It may be well to communicate to those who laud economy, that provisions are abundant, and very moderate. THE CLIMATE HAS NOT UNFREQUENT- LY BEEN ASSIMILATED TO THE SOCTIl OF FRANCE, and the immediate neighbourhood has long ranked exceedingly high. The views are interesting almost beyond description, and so picturesque as certainly not to yield to any other in the county. S'I'. AIIC[IALI.'S ?IOUNT presents an object that has for ever and anon afforded delight to the intelligent traveller, and history has not failed to record it as an object of considerable interest. THE BAY OF NAPLES is not unfrequently called to mind in partaking at leisure of the delightful Panoratlta which is presented. There is an almost PERPETUAL ITALIAN SKY prevailing in this favoured district; and it will not be nut of place to add, that the best society, with kindly feelings, will be found every where. It may be added, by way of conclusion, that there are MANORIAL RIGHTS AND PRIVILEGES, and an almost INEXHAUSTIBLE SCPPLY OF MINERALS as appendages to this fruitful investment, which in- cludes FIVE HUNDRED AND TWENTY-THREE ACRES, indudino BOSWEDNAN, PUL I LGGAN, AND HENDRA ESTATES ADJOINING. A vein of copper has lately presented itself, which promises a large yearly income. The market at Penzance is very influential for the disposal of grain and superfluities arising from a prolific soil and the estate altogether possesses so many agremens, with a view ithcr to residence or investment, that it is be. lieved it will be almost a work of supererogation to invite early and serious attention to tile positive direc- tions of the trustees, which require an unreserved sale of the whole. Just Published, Price 3s. öd. handsomely bound, f|MlE SCHOOLMASTER AT HOMK containing Prefatory Intelligence, an Original English Gram- mar, History of England, and Geography; together with Conclusive Educational Matter, original and select. By the Editor of the" Young Gentleman's Hook." This very very useful and cheap work is published by the same Society as the foregoing and its contents are very similar. It is dedicated to Dr. Birkbeek, as the great originator of Mechanics' Institutions as the Patron, Friend, and Promoter of Education amongst all Clasps of Society.'—Lest it might be imagined that the editor of a work which has for its aim the spread of education is inimical to the Church Establishment, we give the following extract, pp. 182, 183 :-It is an established axiom in controversy, that no argument is so conclusive as the concession of an opponent. Dr. Pyc Smith, a leading Dissenter, in a recent sermon, entitled The Necessity of lleligion to the Wellbeing of a Nation,' has the following passage;—'Those whom God honours, let us delight to honour. I must profess my opinion-that the increase of vital piety in the Established Church, within the last thirty or forty years, has been greater than among us,' Even as far back as 1776, ilir. George Burder owns, in his diary, that he had found abundantly more of the power of God with the evangelical clergymen it will naturally by asked, tlian-with whom ( Than with the Dis- senters. (Memoir p. 34.) These two sentences should make the tour of all England and Wales. The opi- nion of Dr. l'ye Smith with regard to the connexion between Church and State is candidly and honourably expressed in the before-mentioned sermon as follows The religious establishment of our country has been for ages wrought into the connexions and habits of the nation. To break its manifold connexion with our civil institutions, in any other way than by the gentle operation of conviction in the minds of its own members, would be venturing upon a dark, and per- haps verv perilous course.Oxford University Herald So. 1511. Also, Price 5s. 6d. dedicated to the Right Hon. Lord John Russell, M.P. THE BOOK FOR TIIE MILLION (New Issue) or, Popular Instructor. By the Editor of" The Young Gentleman's Book," and My Danghter's Book," "This work is dedicated to Lord John Russell, and is intended expressly for all classes and opinions.' It commences with A Compendious English Grammar;' a History of England follows: to these are added a plain treatise on Geography; a Commercial View of Great Ili-itain an account of the principal Religious Sects an Essay on the Study of the Holy Scriptures a large and very amusing, as well as useful collection of Miscellaneous Readings, and Varieties, literary, scientific, &c. It concludes with what is intitled Conversational Matter.1 The whole is rendered of great utility by an ex- cellent Index, or Table of Contents; and its amusing qualities are much increased by various poetical pieces, chiefly original, many of which are written by the editor. We think it neccssary to add, that although it is dedicated to Lonl John Russell, party oil, are entirely banished from the work. It is evidently pre- pared under the direction of a supporter of the Church, and a zcalous fnend of the Chritian He1ininn with. out reference to sect or dogma.' "—Oxford University Hemld, '0, 1511.
