MERIONETHSHIRE QUARTER SESSIONS. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the next GENERAL QUARTER SESSIONS OF THE PEACE for the County of Merioneth will he holden on TUESDAY the 16th day of OCTOBFB 1888 in the COUNTY HALL at Bala in the said County at 11.30 a.m. when the Court will audit all such bills and account* against the County as ehall. then be delivered and will transact the business I relating to the assessment application an ] manage- ment of the county stock or rate and of the police rate and the general county business after which the Court will b) adjourned to the following day to tie held at the same place at TEN o'clock in the fore- noon, when the grand anci petty jurors will be called over and the Court will proceed to hear and determine all matters brought before them in the following or,ler -1. In the trial of prisoners. 2. In the hearing of appeals. 3. In bearing njotipni, and in the transaction of such other business a9 may be brought before the Court. Pursuant to the direction of the Home Office the clerk* to the justices of the several divisions are re- quirel to transmit to me as soon as practicable after the prisoners shall have b.'en committe l for trial all depositions convictions and recognizances which shall have been taken with hnf instructions for indiotments which they may lie able to give. Appeals to be heard must be entered with me i.ot later than TWO o'clock p m. on the first day of the Sessions. WHEREAS at a Court of General Quarter Sessions for the said County of Merioneth held at Dolgelley in and for the said County on the third day of July last a Provisional Ord-r was made in the words following WHEREAS by a Memorial or Re- quisition in writing dated the fust day of June 1888 :;tgt;th:: of ;vra Robert Maurice Wynne, Charles Nisbbt •' Thruston, Henry Christopher Thomali Beadnell, Humphrey Davies, and John Silvester Esqui"es five of ller Majesty's Justices of the Peace acling in an,1 for the said County of Meriolwth addressed to the Clerk of the Peace for the said Co,int), the said Clerk of the Peace was required to add to or send with the Notice required by law to be gr m of the holding of the then next General Quarter S. Bsions of the Peace for the said County a notice in the form marked A in the schedule to the Highway Act 1862 that at such sessions a proposal would be made to the Justices then and there assembled to add to the Polgelley High- way District the Parish or Township of Pennal in the said County of Merioneth and to send by post in a prepaid letter Notices in the form aforesaid to the Churchwardens and Overseers of every Parish mentioned in the said Notice, AND WHEREAS two at the least of the said Justices making the said Proposal resided in the District proposed to be altered or acted in the Petty Sessional Division in which it or some part there of is situate. And whereas the said Clerk of the Peace for the sai-I County did comply with the said Requisition in every particular. And WHEREAS upon due consideration ot the premises and upon being satisfied that the said lte- "quisition has b-en duly complied with and tlipt.* II proper Notie-K have been "given in the manner and to the persons required by an Act intituled The Hiy-way Act 1862 and an Act intituled The Highway Act 1864 the Justices of the Peace tor the said County here assembled do entertain the sa;1 proposal and under "and by virtue of the said Actsdo by this Provisional Order constitute the parish of Pennal in the said County of Merioneth part and parcel of the Dolgell-y High- way District as fully and effectually to all intents and purposes as if the said Parish of Pennal had been originally named and included in the Provisional and Final Orders constituting the said Dolgelley Highway District for the m-re '• convenient management of the highways within the said Parish, At,d do by this Provisional Order order and direct th-' number of waywardens to N» elected in pursuance of the first mentioned Act by the said parish shall be two. And do by this Provisional Order further order an,1 direct that for the purposes of this Order the Towns-tips of Pernal Lower and Pennal Upper in the said Parish of Pennal shall be combined and be taken to be included in the said term 11 1 Parish of Pennal.' And it is hereby declared that no separate waywardens shall be elected for snch Townships or any of them and that such parish shall he II subject to the same liabilities in respect "of all the HiKhways within it which were before maintained by such Town- ships separately as if ail their several liabilities bad attached to the whole parish and that waywardens shall be elected for such Parish as u whole in the manner hereinbefore provided. And the said Justices of the Peace here assembled making this Provisional Order under the said Acts Do appoint the next General Quart r Sessions of the Peace to be holden in and for the said County on the "16th day of OCTOBER 1888 at Bali for the taking into consideration the confirms- tion of this Provisional Order by a Final •' Order."
