CONWAT. PETTY SESSIONS, Friday, August mth.—BeMM the Rev. M. Morgan and Richard Da.viea, Esq. Robert Jones, alias (Robin CtMidy), was charged with Moulting Captain R. Owens, Gwyn Fulwell, and P.O. G. Thomas, on the 13th mat. The prisoner was committed for two mcrnths, with hard labour in each CMC. At the exptMtipm of the above term, he is to find sureties fM hm good behaviour for 6 months, himself in the sum of .E10, and two sureties in the sum of £00 each. PsouoHT IN CONWAY.—There is quite a drought ot waAef in Conway at the present time; boys and girls are to, be seen waiting round the pumps and piatilafor hours together, and nambera ramble into the country in search of fresh water. Persons in fact have to go in the night to obtain it, and even then they can scarcely obtain the necessary supply. In the meanwhile there ie a copioua supply of the. eiA water in the world near to Penmaea bach, about mile and a half diftMt, whieh, if there were water works, would ensure a uevM-Ming supply. We may state that the steam engines take in water at Conway; but the tanks are now empty and in order to make up the deficency, the Railway people used <M M«<tr on Wednesday last, for the engine on the branch to Uaadtxtnok The result was tb&t the engine would not work, but came to a complete stand-still, and one train waa unable to catch the tJ:1!oin on the main tine to London, thereby causing .great disappointment to a num- ber of passengers who wished to proceed by that train. Would it not be desirable fw the inhabitants of Conway to meet in a public meeting to discuss the advisaMtty of having water works erected, and thtM follow the ex. ample of their spirited neighbours in LIanfaufechan!
