The debate on Mr. Disraeli's motion WM resumed by Mr. LAYARD-, Under-Secretary for Foreign Affaire, w1M. complained that the Opposition had, in order to strengthen their case, unscrupulously garbled and falsi- fied extracts from the diplomatic correspondence, ami that they had mainly directed their attack against Ea) Russell instead of against the Cabinet, each member 4 which was equally responsible with the noble earl for the policy which had been pursued. He denied that Earl Kuasell had threatened the German Powers and given injudicious advice to Denmark. On the ountrArT, the noble earl had simply warned the Germana that their policy could prove disastrous to themselves; aDd if Denmark had followed the advice given to her she would not have been in her present uufAvow-Able poeti- tion. A RUNAWAY TBAIN.—On the Manchester, SheOn-M and Lincolnshire Railway, on Friday, a luggage tr^i* consisting of 30 or 40 waggota started from SHI towards Dunford. At Dunford there is a deep inc&w, and while the train was ascending this portion of the road, a coupling chain broke, and the waggons, be-,oki;- iug detached, ran back. The guard in charge of ;.1w train telegraphed to Penisione, with a view to having the runaway waggous shunted on the down line.
