SLUGGISH LIVER OR KIDNEYS…
SLUGGISH LIVER OR KIDNEYS AND CLOGGED INTESTINES. Often called "The beginning of all diseate." Don't wait for Hardening of the Liver, Dyspepsia, Bright's Disease, Chronic Rheumatism, etc. It may be too late then, says famous medical author. Even simple constipation always means the rapid absorption of toxins into your blood, which then becomes thick and slugfiish with the impurities. 'l'h.Wie poison the ncrv-w, cause headaches, back- aches, pimples, mental and physical lan- guor and endless other ills. Your vitality and disease-resistance are dangerously lowered, stomach becomes acid, liver clogged, intestines congested and kidneys begin to weaken. All these ailments are Tmnecessarv and s.olelv the result of neg- lect. If you want see-for-yourself proof, simply obtain from any chemist a small supply of Alkia Saltrates. He is au- thorised to refund your money in full and without a word if you are dissatisfied. Over a million people have purchased Alkia Saltrates within the past two with the Pre' years, every one, receiving with the pre- paration a signed and legally binding money-back guarantee. The sale is in- creasing daily. You will understand why when you see for yourself how much better it makes you feel within a day or two. There is no need of visiting some expensive mineral spring to drink medi- cinal water similar to this both in-com- position'and effects.

BY HER OWN CLOCK. I
BY HER OWN CLOCK. I Carmarthen Landlady I Warned by Bench. At Carmarthen on Tuesday, Daniel Bowen, licensee of the Eagle Inn, and Alice Bowen, his wife, were summoned for soiling beer during rostrictoo hOtHS and for permitting consumption on the 24th October, and David Jones, 75, Priory-street, and Stephen Thomas, 7, Priory-row, were summoned for aiding and abetting and consuming the beer. Mr. T. Howell Davies defended. P.C.'s Morgan and Llewellyn spoke to visiting the house at 5.45 p.m. (15 min- utes before the legal opening time) and the two men in the bar. On the counter were two pint measures, one containing beer and the other empty. The landlady admitted having served David Jones with a pint, and said she thought it was past 6 p.m. The clock in the kitchen showed the time at seven minutes pa3t six, and the police said that their watches showed it was four- teen minutes before six. The uefence was that the landlady went by her own clock, which showed the time at 6.7 p.m. Stephen Thomas entered the house just before the police and was not served. The Bench said there was a doubt, and dismissed the case, and warned the licensee to keep his clock at the correct time.
TAXES YOU NEED NOT PAY.
TAXES YOU NEED NOT PAY. Year by year, the tax-gatherer dips I deeper into our pockets. We like good British citizens, grumble and pay. But there afe far worse taxes extorted by that merciless tyrant Kidney Disease." His victims pay in money, health, and often in life itself. These are taxes which none need pay, because relief can be obtained bv all. Disordered kidneys cause untold suffering, and any pain in the small of the back may announce the beginning of Bright's Disease or dropsy. One of the chief functions of the kidneys is to remove uric acid, and if this is checked the blood becomes poisoned with uric atid, which is carried to everydpart of the body, causing j rheumatism, gout, lumbago, etc. No time j should be lost in taking Warner's Safe Care, an entailing remedy at all stages I of kidney diseases. Mrs. Donaghy, 48.! Strabane Road. Londonderry, reports that her husband had been very ill, swollen from head to foot. After the second dose of Warnees Safe Cure the swelling he- gan to eubside. and the next day it was gone. She is convinced that this remedy saved her husband's life. Warner's I Cure is sold by all chemists at 3/- and SI- per bottle. A valuable book will be sent post free on application to Messrs. H. H. Warner and Co., Ltd., 18-20, Lay- stall Street, London. E.C.I.
