The immeasurable therapeutic superiority of Dr. DE JONGH'S Cod Liver Oil over every other variety is incon- testably established by the recorded opinions of the most distinguished Physicians and Surgeons in all parts of the world. In numberless instances, where other kinds of Cod Liver Oil had been long and copiously administered with little or no benefit, Dr. DE JONGH'S Oil has produced almost immediate relief, arretted disease, and restored health. "Dr. Granville has used Dr. DE JONGH'S Light-Brown Cod Liver Oil extensively in his practice, and has found it not only efficacious but uniform in its qualities. lIe believes it to be preferable in many resp cts to Oils sold without the guarantee of such an authority as De Joiigli. Dr. Granville has found that this particular kind produces the desired effect in a shorter time than others, and that it does not cause the nausea and indigestion too often consequent on the adrninistralioll of the Pale Oils. The Oil being, moreover, much more palatable, Dr. Granville's patients have them- selves exprpssed a preference for DR. DK JONGH'S Light Brown Cod Liver Oil." Dr. Cowan is glad to find that the Profession has some reasonable guarantee for a genuine firticle. The material now sold varies in almost every establish- "lent where it is purchased, and a tendency to prefer eolomless and tasteless Oil, if not counteracted, will ultim- ately jeopardise the reputation of an unquestionably valuable addition to the Meteria Medica. They aie used by the most celebrate, Medical Men in their private and hospital practice also bd Clergymen and others, who have voluntarily given theiy names, to certify to the Public as to the reliability of thesr remedies. I DR. BUCHAN'S PATENT SUGAR COATED PILLS The process of coating the pills with sugar has compelled the Proprietors to take out Letters Patent of Groat Briain, in order to protect them from imitation, their saccharine coterin?. which is couleur de rose (Dink). distinguishing them from all others. They are pteasant to the taste, and may be taken by the most delicate female or child, without fear of nausea or discomfort, gliding down imperceptibly like a sugar plum. HEALTH DEPENDS UPON PURE BLOOD. Our race is subject to an overflow of vitiated bile, which is both prevalent and dangerous but these Pills afford an invaluable and efficient protection. Their use prevents the collection of those impurities, which cause so much danger to the fine organs of the stomach and bowels. They soon cure liver complaints, dyspepsia, rheumatism, flatulence, wind and griping in the stomach and bowels, diarrhoe, loss of appetite, headache, heart-burn, pain in the chest, sudden faintness aud costiveness, scorbutic affections, skin el uptions, deep-seated ulcers, &c., also acting most visibly on the complexion, preserving, improving, softening, and beautifying the skin, thereby giving that blooming and charming appearance so desirable, yet so vainly sought for by all. In brief, these Pills work their way to the very roots of each disease, cleansing in their passage, removing every unhealthy accumulation, till the blood is purified, the whole system renovated, and all the functions acting according to nature, the duties of life become a pleasure, where, before they had been sad and weary burdens. They PURGE OUT THE HUMOURS which breed and generate distemper, stimulate sluggish or disorded organs into their natural actions, and impart health, strength, and cheerfulness to the sick, weak, and nervous not only do they cure the daily complaints of everybody but also those formidable and dangerous diseases, that have baffled the most skilful of the medical profession. BUCHAN'S VEGETABLE SKIN OINTMENT This is the only OiBtment yet discovered that cures with ease the most inveterate sores, no matter of how long stand- I ing. Its effects are indeed wonderful, giving as it does instant relief to the sufferer. The many thousands who have used it declare it to be THE BEST OINTMENT IN THE WOULD. The proprietors are daily receiving numerous tes- timonials from persons of the highest respectability and standing, testifying to the rapidity with which cures are performed from its use. Many having suffered for years,— d espa i red of ever finding relief, when after using this celetfrate(fyirifment for a few weeks have been at once restored to their long-lost health. It is a most INVALUALE REMEDY for an kinds of sores, skin eruptions, and no family or person should be without a certain quantity. The advantage possessed by this Ointment over all others is, that it will not close up the surface of a wound, leaving it full of matter but it will first bring all to the surface, and finally heal without breaking out again. The Pills should aid the Ointment in the following cases, namely :— Piles Chilblains Lumbago Boils Frost Bites Rheumatism Bruises Scalds Scalds Excoriations Cuts Whitlow Blotches on the Face Bites Sore Nipples Ulcers Stings Sore Throats Ring-worms Scrofula Scurvy- Sore Heads, Eyes, King's Evil Sore Heads and Lips Bad Legs Rash Baldness Bad Breasts Tumors Chapped Hands Contracted & Stiff Old and deep-seated Chafed & Blistered Joints Ulcers Feet Fistulas Wounds Corns Gout Worms Bunions Swelled Glands Itch, &c, Price Is. 1 id. per To by Post, Is. 8d. 2s. 9d. 4s. DR BVC3AYTS CONCENTRATED VEGETABLE ESSENCE. The Sciences of Chemistry and Medicine have been taxed to their utmost to produce this invaluable remedy. In- numerable proofs are shown that it supasses in excellence all other preparations, gaining unprecedently upon the esteem of all. When the nervous system becomes relaxed, from causes so slight that the mind can scarcely give credence to the truth, (which however, forces itself to view by langour, listlessness, disturbed sleep, &c.,) the Strengthening Es. sence acts at once in a manner visible to the most careless observer, and when tr'e Constitution may be said to be on the e\e of decay, when the senses become blunted, anu nature seems to call for the debt all mankind must cancel, the Strengthening Essence delays the payment; and the fresh vigour imparted gives a KEW LEASE OF LIFE. In short, it would be superfluous to mention its advantages as a tonic, stimulant, alterative, reviving, active, and strengthening agent. It allays diseased irritability, calms the body and mind, and in low spirits, hypothchondriasis, produces a soft and delightful state of feeling, succeeded by a disposition to slumber, tranquillizing the nerves, and acts as a palliative in chronic hjsterics and other spasmodic complaints. It is also a NEVER-FAILING REMEDY. for all female complaints, mental and physical debility, loss of appetite, inward wastirigs, trembling or shaking of the bands, relaxation from long residence in hot climates, all muscular and nervous maladies, gout, rheumatism, and many other diseases originating in the heart, lungs, and nerves, &c. It is a diuretic and laxative, and acts most powerfully on the internal mucous membrane of the bowels, windpipe, &c., being by all acknowledged as the "sole natural strengthener" of the human frame. Prepared, in Bottles, at lis. or, four times that quantity for 33s. A MAN WHO REFUSED TO HAVE HIS LEG OFF From the Iiilrush Advertiser, June 2nd, 1860. BENJAMIN COX, EsQuiiLp, Magistrate, said in the Board Room at Kilrush. that he knew a man who had been ill the Infirmary and was actually turned out M incurable, on bis way home to Kilrush, he purchased at Ennfs, Hollowtty's Pills and Ointment, for, as he said, it could not be worse with hiw. "This man," saiil Mr. Cox, became by their use as sound and as healthy as any man in the porn." I hese celebrated P;lls and Ointment will cure any wound, sore, or ulcer, however long standing, if properly used ac- cording to the printed directions. b' GOUT AND RHEUMATISM. I The essence of these diseases lie in the blood, which has floating through each vessel, the paingiving poison, wbich irritates aud inflames every tissue it comes in contact with, and produces the hot, swollen, elastic enlargement about the joints so characteristic of gouty diseases. The philosophy of cure consists in overcoming this depravity in the blood, which is rapidly purified by the use of the Pills, The Ointment, when rubbed upon the skin, penetrates the system through the pores, acts iu unison with the Pills, and soon effects a cure. DROPSY, SWOLLEN LEGS OR ANKLES. The various kinds of dropsies, whether wiudy or watery, arise from some obstruction to the free circulation through the blood vessels or lymphatics, or depend on the inflamed state of some secreting surface. Hulloway's remedies, of which the efficacy cannot be exaggerated, act directly upon the blood, the absorbents and secretions, with a power that no dropsy, however inveterate, can long resist. They regulate the proper flow of blood to every organ, and purify it likewise,—they filter out everything that is morbid or injurious,—they thoroughly regenerate every function, yet potent as they are for good, they are powerless for evil. They do not contain mercury or any noxious substances. They act safely and certainly. BAD LEGS, BAD BREASTS, AND OLD ULCERS. This invaluable Ointment was never known to fail in the cure of any wound, any sore, or any ulcer,-as can be proved by innumerable testimonials from persons who had been discharged from Hospitals as incurable, and yet by per- severance they have been made as sound as they were the day they were born, by this incomparable Ointment. For pimples, blotches, scald heads, and scorbutic humours, it is equally efficacious.
