Just Published, Price 2s., free by post from the Author only for 30 Stamps, NERVOUS DEBILITY; its Causes, Symptoms, and Cure: an Essay on Spermatorrhoea, with Practical Observations on a safer and more successful mode of treat- ment of the Diseases of the Generative System, obtained by the use of the Microscope in detecting and distinguishing, by Urinary Examination, the real cause and effect of every variety of Complaint, whether arising from solitary habits, excesses, accident, or cliinate-to which are added Com- mentaries on the Physiology of Marriage, with precautionary hints on the evils emanating from empirical practice, and on the dangerous remedies advocated by various writers on these important disorders. BY S. LA'MERT, M.D., 37, BEDFORD SQUARE, LONDON, Matriculated Member of the University of Edinburgh, Hono- rary Member of the London Hospital Medical Society, Licentiate of Apothecaries' Hall, London, &c., &c. The essential object of this treatise is to point out the fearful consequences resulting from certain habits, irregu- larities and excesses, which have produced more misery in Youth, degradation in Manhood, and premature decay at all stages of Life, than, perhaps, any other class or disease known to modern pathologists. Its perusal is particularly recommended to persons entertaining secret doubts of their physical condition, and who are conscious of having ha- zarded the health, happiness, and privileges to which every human being is entitled. It is absolutely necessary that all men should know that there are principles of personal management which cannot be violated without incurring grievous penalties, and when wisdom and regret succeed the heyday of inconsiderate self- indulgence, how these penalties may be mitigated, how the sting of their bitterness may be removed, and how the evil and its consequences may be avoided, and, above all, that there is scarcely any degree of physical infirmity or func- tional derangement to which the timely aid of science cannot apply a cure. Published by Piper and Co., 23, Paternoster Row, and may be had of Hannay and Co., 63, Oxford Street; Gordon, 146, Leadenhall-street; and at the Guardian Office, Cardiff; or foom the Author, who may be consulted daily, from Eleven till Two, and from Five till Eight, at his residence, 37, Bedford Square, London. THE MIRACULOUS REMEDY HOLLOWAY'S OINTMENT. TEN YEARS INTERMITTENT ATTACKS OF ERY SIPELAS! EFFECTUALLY CURED. Copy of a Letter from Mrs. If. Trimmer, of Compton, near Winchester, dated 13th Sep. 1853. To Professor Holloway, Slit" -1 suffered for a period of ten years, (until the last six months,) with the most dreadful intermittent attacks of Erysipelas which confined me to my bed during the whole of the summer months in each year, I consulted the most eminent medical gentlemen in Winchester, but was from time to time doomed to be disappointed in my hopes of obtaining any relief to my sufferings, although I complied strictly with the directions my advisers gave me. At length I was persuaded to give your Ointment and Pills a trial, by a female friend who had been cured of a bad leg by using them to my suiprise and delight, a change for the better was quickly produced, and in a very short time, they caused the Erysipelas totally to disappear, and my health was entirely resuscltaed which. has remained good ever since. I remaid, gratefully yours, (Signed) HARRIET TRIMMER. ASTOUNDING CURE OF SCROFULA. William Pogue, of Emyvale, (a young man well known in that neighbourhood.) was afflictel for three years with Scrofula on the left arm, there were rour ulcers which dis- charged continuously, and reduced the poor fellow to a mere skeleton. He was for a long time under the care of cne medical gentleman, and consulted many others, but derived no benefit whatever. At Ifst he had recourse to Holloway s Ointment and Pills, and by persevering with these remedies in the course of eight weeks, his arm was completely well, and his health thoroughly re-established The truth of this statement can be vt nfied by many of the Inhabitants of Emyvale, and particularly by Mr. Patrick Me Kenna, Druggist of that place. ASTONISHING CURE OF AN ULCERATED LEG AFTER THREE HOSPITALS FAILED! Copy of a Letter from Mr. TV. Hare, of Exeter, dated September 22, 1854. To Professor Holloway, A man named William Hall, in the employ of lfr. C. Sclates, Nurseryman, of this City, has desired me to make known to you the benefit he has received from using your Ointment and. Pills. For three years this poor man suffered terribly with a severely ulcerated leg, and during this time he sought relief at Guy's, King's College, and the Devon and Exeter Hospitals, and was finally told by a Surgeon, that amputation of the limb was necessary to save his life; however, instead of taking this advice, he immediately had recourse to your Ointment and Pills, and they have done him more good than all the other medicines put together, he being now able to follow his occupation, and rapidly gaining health and strength. I remain, Sir, yours faithfully, (Signed) WILLIAM HARE. THREE EXTRAORDINARY CURES IN ONE FAMILY! Copy of a Letter ?-cM ?'. Cottrall ?y??, late -R!?"y?y?'"< of the IWi Regiment of Foot, dated Irishtown, Athlone 6th ?<?, 1854. To Professor Holloway, ?Efan?ap? 'bear test;mony to the extraordinary effect of your invaluable medicines, the wonders they have wo?don three members of my own family being sufficient ?convince the most incredulous of the many virtues they possess. My youngest son, aged 9 years, was afflicted with several lumps on the right side of his neck, which were very painful, and tended considerably to interfere with his general health. Aly second son, aged 11, was similarly .afflicted, and suffered for an equally lengthened period. Both these youths have been radically cured by the use of your Oint- ment and Pills, after the treatment of Surgeons in each instance had failed to afford them the least benefit. My eldest son, aged 19, was for three years a great suf- ferer with eight running ulcers on his neck, of a most severe character, for him, I consulted several medical men, Kr.»v. and militarv. hut their treatment was unsuc- cessful! I have just put him under a course of your medi- cines the result is truly astonishing, five of the sores are completely cured, and the remainder rapidly healing. The health of all three of the Boys is considerably improved. I remain, Sir, yours obliged Servant, (Signed) COTTRALL HYATT. ^06 The Pills should be used conjointly with the Ointment in most of the following cases:- Bad Legs Chiego-foot Fistulas Sore Throats Bad Breasts Chilbains, Gout lings Skin-diseases Burns Chap!ipl -bands Glandular Stvel- Scurvy Bunions Corns jft), Lumbago Sore-heads Bite of Mos- Cancers Piles Tuours chetoes and Contracted and Rheumatism Ulce- i Sand Flies Stiff Joints Scald Wouflds Coco-bay Elephantiasis Sove Nipples Yaws.
