Our "COUSINS ACROSS THE WATER" often boast of the" GULLIBILITY" of the BRITISH PUBLIC; and it is a FACT, however distasteful to us, that we BRITONS are easily TAKEN IN and there is a class of dealers in these days that trade upon this weakness of the unsuspecting Briton," and make fine capital out of it. Trade schemes are cleverly organised, and disguised under some such title as "CO-OPERATIYE "HELP-MYSELE," "MUTUAL BENEEIT," or "BONUS-GIVING" SOCIETIES; and great and st irtliao < ages are offered to the Public by such AGENCIES. But perhaps the SEEMING advantages are not REAL advantages at all-and where there IS a real advantage given, there may be a "TAKE-IN" on another article as an off-set >" If the Unsuspecting Briton" examined things a little more CLOSELY, he might find that he was HAD more often than he thinks !-and that's an unpleasant sort of reflection, isn't it ?
