FOOTBALL COMPETITION. I On Saturday afternoon last, at the Recrearion Ground, Blaenau Festiniog, a Grand Football Competition was held under the auspices of the Festiniog Town Club. The weather was all that could be desired, bright sunshine prevail- ing throughout the day, and there was a large muster of spectators. The prizes offered comprised eleven gold centre silver medals to the winning team, and eleven silver medals to the second best. Eleven teams entered the competion, viz., Ormonde, Celts, Black Stars, Coming Stars, Moelwyn, Married, Tumblers, Lledr Rovers, Duffws, Engineers, and St., Oswalds. Owing to lack of space we are obliged to curtail our report of this display made by each of the teams, and we append the following results:— FIRST ROUND. = Celts, 2 goals, Ormonde, 1 goal. Marriad, 4 corners, Moelwyn 2 corners. Black Stars, 1 goal. Coming Stars, 0. Tumblers, 2 goals, Lledr Rovers, 0. Engineers, 2 goals, Duffws 1 goal. St., Oswalds were conceded a bye. SECOND ROUND. St., Oswalds, 1 goal. Black Stars, 0. Tumblers, 1 goal, Engineers, 0. Married 2 goals, Celts, 0. Owing to lack of time, the semi-final was arranged to be played on Thursday night (to-night), and the final tie will be played next Saturday afternoon, at 4.15, following the engagement of the Festiniog Town Club's replayed League Match with Llanrwst. The replayed Match between Festiniog and Llanrwst, will be played at the Recreation Ground, next Saturday, at 2.30 p.m. Admission 4d. Team-E. Hughes, W, R, Jones, H. J, Rowlands, Evan Hughes, Ben Evans, Richard Roberts, S. Roberts, Cannon Jones, John Jones, Richard Jones, Robert Roberts. After this match the final for the Medals will take place. Admissiod 2d. Referee—Mr. Slater, Llandudno.
