THE GUARDIANS of this Union invite -L appHcations for the Appointment of ?ivT aster and Matron of the Workhouse at Llanrwat. Applicants must be man and wife, between the ages of 21 and 40 years, and be conversant with the Welsh language and preference will be given to those without children dependent upon them. The salary of the Master will be X40 per annum, and that of the Matron f,20 per annum, with rations., apartments, and washing in the Workhouse. The appointment will be subject to the approval of the Local Government Board, and to the provisions of the Poor Law Officers' Superannuation Act, 1896, the annual value of the emoluments for the purposes of the Act being fixed at X25 per annum for each officer. The Master must be fully competent to keep the Books and Accounts, and perform all the duties required by the Orders of the Local Government Beard and the Matron must also be able to efficiently discharge the duties required of her, and to superintend all the domestic arrangements of the Workhouse. The Master will be required to give security in the sum of C200 for the due and faithful performance of his duties, and the persons I appointed must be prepared to enter upon their duties on the 26th March next. Applications in candidates' own hand- writing, stating their ages, and occupations, accompanied by three recent testimonials as to character, abilities, and general fitness to execute the duties of their offices, and endorsed on the outside cover "Master and Matron must reach me by Monday, the 26th instant, and selected candidates will have notice to attend.
