GOODWiCK NEWS. -—— 1 H ENNER. The anniversary of the Landing of the French was celebrated at I Henner School on Thursday. In the I [morning MrE. Anthony, headmaster, gave the children a short history of the French Invasion. Before starting, the children were given buns at the school, which were provided by Mr and Mrs Reynolds, Tre- howell. At half-past one o'clock they started for the camp, the members of the staff, Mr E, Anthony, Miss A. M. John; Miss Roblin, Mr W. John, and Mr Daniel Griffiths accompanying them. At Tre- j howel again each child was presented with three oranges and a packet of sweets by Miss Reynolds. The procession then went to the French camp, but had to return very soon 1, J the heavy rain and snow of the afternoon. Repair of the damage to the rubble breakwater and lighthouse foundations at the Goodwick Harbour Works, wrought! by the. terrible storm of two weeks ago, is being pushed forward with energy. The rails have been re-placed and the tipping of rock into the gaps is being proceeded with. It is intended to extend and streng- then the lighthouse foundations. 0
