AN EXAMINATION will be held at the A. KING'S SCHOOL, on MONDAY, the 3rd July, 1905, at 9 a.m., for the purpose of electing two King's Scholars. The Scholarships exempt the holders from payment of tuition fees, and are tenable in the first instance for one year, but are renewable from year to year on proof of satisfactory work and conduct. Candidates must not be over the age of Twelve on the 30th June, 1905. By the Scheme it is provided that not less than one half of these Scholarships shall be awarded to boys entering the School. The Council of the City and County Borough of Chester invite Applications for the above Appoint- ment from Registered Medical Practitioners holding the Diploma of Public Health. The Salary will be E500 per annum, and the appointment will be made at the Meeting of the Council to be held on the 26th July next. The District for which such appointment is to be made is the City and County Borough of Chester. The person appointed will be required to devote the whole of his time to the duties of his office under the Council, which will include, in addition to the duties imposed by Statute and Order, the Medical Officership of the Isolation and Small Pox Hospitals, and Medical Officer to the Local Educa- tion Authority. He will also be required to make all Bacteriological examinations and Analyses of Water. The appointment will be for Five years from the 19th September next, and will be subject to the approval of the Local Government Board. Applications, which must be made on forms pro- vided, and accompanied by copies of not more than six recent testimonials, must be sent to me, endorsed "Medical Officer of Health," not later than SATUR- DAY, the 8th July next.
