HOOTON. IN MEMORIAM.—The reading desk at St. Paul's Church, which was recently removed for the purpose of alterations, was during this last week re-erected, having been converted into a "clergy stall." The cost of the work has been found by Mrs. Haigh and Mrs. Collard. At the foot of the stall a brass plate has been affixed with the follow- ing inscription To the glory of God and in memory of Elizabeth Ockleston. This reading desk was re-erected January, 1905, by her sister, E. Haigh. and her neice, F. W. Collard."
