Marquis of BUTE, in the Chair; It lcas Resolved, That a Monument ought to be Erected on some eminent and commanding station within the Prin- cipality, to perpetuate the memory of Lieut-General Sir 1. Fkjton, G. C. B. who fell gloriously leading his divi- sion to a charge of bayonets OIl the memorable battle of Waterloo on the 18th J uric, 1815. Reso!vecl, That an Address be made to the Medina at Brecon, assuring them of our correspondent sentiments and that we are desirous of uniting with that Meeting to give eirect to what we Ibelicve to be the general feelings of South Wales upon the suhject. Resolved, That Copies of these Resolutions be published in the Cambrian and Seren Gomer Newspapers; and that the Chairman he requested to present them'to the Grand Jury at the next Great Sessions, in order that a Subscription may be opened, and such further measures adopted as may be then thotigM most expedient for giving full eflect to the w isiies and intentions of this Meeting. Resolved, That the thanks of this Meeting be to the Lord Lieutenant for his able conduct in the Chair, and for havingcailedthisMeeting; WM.
