The Fasting Man. I To the Editor of the Llanellv Mercury." I Sir,—I beg to say that- Mr. Bob Graham is challenged by Sacco to beat his own record, and fast five days longer. Mr. Graham has accepted, and will now break his fast on Saturday, May 21st, at 9 p.m. His first meal will consist of Bovril and other light diet. During the period of 36 days Graham was living entirely on mineral waters. On Wed- nesday morning his medical adviser reques- ted that Graham should come out of his hunger-house but Graham quietly determined to try to abstain from food till Saturday. Every care is taken, and everything is in readiness in case of a collapse. During the past 34 days Graham lost 32 lbs. in weight, consumed 252 bottles of Messrs. Rees and Richards's soda water, and smoked nearly 500 cigarettes.—I am, etc., MANAGER.
