THE UNIVERSITY OFFICES. IN the course of an interview given by Mr. GWILYM EVANS to a representative of a Cardiff contemporary the other day, a variety of ques- tions affecting the location of the Welsh University Offices ware instructively discussed, and although Llanelly is not concerned in the struggle for the distinction, except as a spectator and as a community sharing the general edu- cational awakening of the principality, the report of the interview which we have taken the liberty of reproducing in another column will be of considerable interest to all our readers. The University Court will, meet this week end at Shrewsbury for the purpose of considering, among other ajatfeers, questions relating to the site of the Registrar's Offices, It is not improbable, indeed, that the selectioa will be made--a. circumstance that will certainly rttract to the border town a large number of gentlemen entitled to vote in the selection, which the court, in any event, cannot much longer defer. It is to be regretted that Mr. GWILYM EVANS will be unable, owing to ill- health, to be present at the meeting to lay before the Court the arguments ho advanced in reply to the inquiries of his interviewer. However, he has induced a friend to act as sponsor to the resolution of which he has give. notice, the resolution in question being to the effect that the three towns in which are situated the constituent colleges of the University shall be considered ineligible as sites for the Registrar's offices. A number of weighty reason* are adduced in favour of this proposition, not the least being that of the disproportionate
