THOW TO KEEP WELL THIS I WINTER.…
THOW TO KEEP WELL THIS I WINTER. I Don't let your blood get thin this winter. For people who have a tendency towards ansenia (which is blood! essness) winter is a trying season. Lack of exercise and fresh air, with other dis- advantages. combine to lower the tone of the body and deplete the blood. As soon as you notice the tire l feeling, lack of appetite and shortness of breath, that are warning symptoms of thin blood, take a short treatment with Dr. Williams' Pink Pilip. Do not wait until the colour has entirely left your cheeks, until your lips are white, your eyes dull, and your ears like mother- o*- pearl. It is so much easier to correct thinning of the blood in the earlier stages than 'ate'. Dr. Williams' Pink Pills build up the blood and strengthen the nerves In this way the general health is improved, the appetite increased, the digestion is strengthened, and new ambition and energy daveloped. Then the work becomes easier because it does not cause exhaustion. Keep your system at its highest Eiffciency with Dr. WilliamJ' Piils for Pale People, the great blood builder and nerve tonic Obtain from any dealer (but never accept useless substitutes), or send 2s. 91. for one box, or 13s. 9d. for six, direct to Dr. Williams' Medicine Co., 46, Holborn Viaduct, London. FREE.—Staid a pnatcaid to the Book Dept., 46, Holborn Viaduct, London, for a free copy of a most useful Health Guide, entitled, "The Blood and its WOlk."

CHRISTMASTIDE AT BARRY DOCK SAILORS' INSTITUTE. The Barry Sailors' Institute and Bethel were again the scene of busy activities at Christmas, when the re- sult of months of preparation and Hard work on the part of Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Marshall and their devoted workers C.Uln-iiiiated in a little Christmas cheer being brought into many lives which would have othewise been absent. On Sunday, December 27th, Mr. Argall ad- diessed, in a fitting and helpful man- ner. the Jack's BroiherTiood, and the ailors were afterwards entertained to trti. In the evening Mr. W. W. Mar- shall gave an inspiring gospel address. The o-rcia,t feature of the Christmas festivities was held on Monday, in tin Santa Claus night, for the children of the soldiers and sailors who have been called up, and those who have respon- ded to their country's call. Over a thousand children, with many of their mothers, were entertained to tea. TIn delighted little recipients were dividod into two sections, those over five in the large hall and those under five in the smaller hall, where several alterations had to be made to meet the accommo- dation needs of such a big undertak- ing. After tea, Mr. S. R. Jones pre- sided in the large hall, when each child was presented with a toy at the hand of Colonel Ommannay, of the 12th Welsh Regiment, stationed at the Buttrills, who in the absence of Major- General Lee, of Dinas Powis, expressed pleasure at being present, and his deep appreciation of what had been done. The children under five in the small hall were similarly treated by Mrs. S R. Jones, and the Rev. Ben Evans presided. As each child departed they v, ere handed a bag of fruit. Mr. A. E Beynon proposed a vote of thanks. to Colonel Ommannay, to Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Marshall, and all the workers, for contributing to make such a big undertaking a success. Anîon g the guests present were Mes- dames Sibbering Jones, Jack- srn, Evans, Williacs, Dr. T. W. and Mrs. Jones, &c. Santa Claus was re- presented in the larger hall by ff. John Sparks, and in the lesser hall bv Mr. W. T. Medhurst. A delightful evening was spent on Wednesday, December 30th, at the an- nual re-union of the Floating Chris- tian Endeavour, when Mr. W. T. Me l- hurst presided, and the Rev. W. Meek, of Porth, gave an address on the cherubin, symbolising the hand and the wing in Christian service as re- presenting the practical and the devo- tional. Solos were rendered by Mrs. Farrcll, Miss Auskerays, Miss Chap- pell, and Mr. W. G. Rogers. The ac- companists were Mrs. Sparks and Mr. W. G. Riches. Elocutionist, Mi-is Rees. On Thursday evening a splendid lecture was given by Mr. T. Vivian Rees, of Dinas Powis, and it was very much appreciated by those who heard jr. This was followed by the watch- night service, at which the speakers were Mr. J. Sparkes, Mr. W. Powell, and Mr. W. W. Marshall. .:&r--
