Swansea, on Mon- day, Lady Mackworth opened a Women's War Service Exhibition, which is to re- main open during the week, and at which, lectures and demon strationa of various de- partments of women's Avork during thet war are to be given by experienced de- monstrators. Mr. Roberts, in an interest- ing speech, warmly praised the women of this country for their share of the work in carrying on this war, and said what they had already done was intensely gratifying. Mrs. H. M. Palmer was charged with selling milk deficient of butter fat. For defence evidence was given that the milk, though it had been in cold storage for three days. had not Itoeu tampered with in any way from receipt to sale. In evidence it came out that tlie milk had not all been freed frot-a ice afber tea-ring cold storage, therefore the magi- strafes held that it was not sold in the same condition as it had been supplied.
