LLAWDCVSRY. I Mrs. Francis Mary- Lewis. Mile End, who is mentioned in connection with the Llandovery Red Cross Hospital, is a daughter of tlio late Canon Griffiths, rector of Machynllueth, widow of the late Dr. F. W. Lewiii, and niettt of tli6 late Dr. Thomas, Llandovery. She has been secretary afld treasurer of the local branch of the British Red Crow Society 'and a member ..of the local detachment einco they were started in January, 1911 Meetings were held to celebrate the /bi-oen&enary of Williams, Pantycelyn. On Wednesday evening preaching ser- vices were held. The officiating ministers were tho Rev. W. B. Prythorch and the Rpy. Lieut. Col. John Williams, Bryn- sciencyn. Preaching service's were also held on Thursday morning and evening, the preachers haing the Revs. J. T. Joh, J. Morgan Jones (Cardiff), W. E. Pryijherch, and J. Morgan Jones.
