REGISTRATION WORK. I Fourteen out of twenty-seven element- ary schools in Swansea wilt close during i this week, though the summer holidays are oier. About ;)110 teachers are busily employed, at dic Hall and at the Municipal Secondaiy School, in tabulating the results ot the recent public xegistra- tion. Practically every room in the Town Hall and the Secondary School is being utilised. '1 he list of the schools that are closed on this account appeared in tjio Leader on Friday. An important stage in the compilation of the National Pegister will be reached next week, when Somerset Hou&e will re- ceive from the ,H(iO lo(-.al authorities re- sponsible for the taking of the register a I lull summary of facts and figures taken from the forms. I These returns will show: t 1. The total number of people between! 15 and 65 registered in each district, with I the number of married and unmarried, also the number engaged in eacn of vari- ous occupations with the number in each occupation who are married and unmar- i-Led. 2. A classification of males and females under groups of ages and occupations, showing the number of married and un- married in each group.
