The following quotation from the "Cambria Daily Leader" will sh ow you our position MISTAKEN HtNDMESS. AMMANFORO CHEMIST FINED. j At Amma.Dfoid Poiic? t'our) on Monday (-No?-. Mr. Evan Evans, the w?I)- known chemist o Ammanford, who aJ.o holds a wine and spirit license in conuec- tion with his sliop, was summoned for selling a bottle of whisky during illegal hours, on Nov. i. Mr. Noveg having elicited from Deputy Chief Constable Evans that the rase was simply one of supplying the whisky during illegal hours, pleaded guilty, and urged, in extenuation, that it was through the mistaken kindness of Mrs. Evans that the sale occurred. She had ten the man there previously that day with the doctor's I prescription, and, seeing that he looked ill, as he undoubtedly was, she, after much persuasion, supplied him with the bottle of whisky.—The Magistrates mud they were very sorry to have to convict. They knew Mr. Evans had carried on busi- ness satisfactorily for many- rearz, but Mrs. Evans ought not to have consented to the man's pica in this instance, and Mr. Evans was responsible for Mrs. Evans's action.—A fine of including costs, would be inflicted.—" Cambria Daily j, Leader," Nov. 21.
