Swansea Rhodesian's Fate. I It has now been officially reported by the I German Government that Lance-Coll)1 J. E. Bees, of the King's Hoyal Rifles (who was reported missing on July 1st, in France), was killed or died of wounds. He wag the eldest son cf the late Gapt. James 1 Bees, of Swansea, and of Mrs. E. A. Rees, now of the, Mumbles, and was educated at j the Swansea Grammar School. For a num- ber of year's he was with Messrs. E. W. Cook and Co., Swansea,, but went out. to I Rhodesia in 1897, and resided in that coun- try until the beginning of the present war, He served m the Beer War, the Rebellion, and went through the whole of the German South-West African Campaign, where he was attached to the 1st Rhodesian Regi- ment. At the termination, of the latter ho came to England, and joined the RhodesianjI Platoon of the Kina's Royal Rifles.
