MUST PRODUCE MORE EGGS. I NEED FOR POULTRY CULTIVATION. VALUABLE ADVICE AT SWANSEA. i Under the auspices of the 'Welsh Utility I Poultry Club a very successful lecture was delivered aot Swansea Public Library on Thursday evening by Mr. D. A. Allan (or- ganiser of the Agricultural .Organisation So. ciety, London, and the best known expert on poultry in the kingdom). Mr. Allen chose for the title of his subject, "Organisatiol1. of the Poultry Industry." Mr., Charles Cilb-ertson, Pontardawe. pre- sident of the South Wales Club, presided. Mr. Allan gave astonishing statistics re- garding the number of eggs we used to im- port from foreign countries before the war and how at the present moment we could not import them, and the home supply hp.. ing slowly developed resulted in the exorbi- tant prices now ruling. J He urged that at least ten fowls per acre should be kept in this country to assure a consistent supply of a valuable food at ao- cessible prices..
