SHOPS ACT, 1912 i NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that HIS MAJESTY'S Secretary of State tor the Home Department has confirmed the following Order made under Section 4 (6) and (2) of the SHOPS ACT, 1912, and that the said Order is now in force in this Borough. ORDER under Section 4 (r.) and (2) extending the provisions of Section 4 to shops in which the sale of Raw Meat is carried oil, and to the hus- iness of Pharmacists and Chemists, and fixing the day of the Weekly Half-Holiday therefor. fpHE Town Council of the Borough of Pwliheli in pursuance ot the powers conferred upon them by the Shops, Act, 1912, and after due compli- ance with its provisions do hereby ORDER as follo%A-s i. This Order may be cited as "The Shops Act Pwllheli No. 2 Half-Holiday Order, 1913." 2. The provisions of Section 4 of the Act are hereby extended to the sale by retail of Raw Meat, and to such parts of the retail -.rade. or business of a Phar- macist and a Chemist as are exempted by SectiojQ 4"of the Second Schedule to the Act. 3. ALL shops in which- the sale by retail of Raw Meat or tht, retail trade or business of a Pharmacist or a Chemist is carried on shall be closed for the Weekly H alf- Holiday at 1-0 p.m. on Thursday throughout the year. PROVIDED that where in any week a lawfully constituted fair is to be held on a Thursday, the-preceding Tuesday shall be substituted for the Thursday in such week, and all shops to which this Order applies shall be closed on such Tuesday at 1-0 p. m. PROVIDED also that any shop- keeper may substitute Saturday for the Thursday or Tuesday, as the case may be, on affixing a notice to that effect in his shop. NOTE.—It is-provided by Section 4 1(5) of the Act that if a shop is closed throughout the whole of the Bank Holiday, and the Bank Holiday does not fall on the day fixed for the Weekly Half-Holiday, the shopkeeper may keep his shop open either on the before or on the half-holiday after the Bank Holiday.
