I Porth Madryn. 1

Mrs. Daniel Roberts, a Miss Wyrfai Griffiths, Glan Alaw; Mr. a Mrs. Tom E. Edwards a'r teulu, William Roberts ac Alfred Hughes. I was very pleased to see Mr. Evan Hugh Jones's (Drafod) letter in your last issue. This little fellow arrived in Madryn without the least fuss, and no one knew that he had the intention of going home to ofter his ser- vices in the present crises. If anyone could be excused from volunteering, it was little I Drafod as he was nicknamed in the Chubut football circles, being inches short of the re- quired height. Asked on board the steamer just before leaving, what his intention were, he replied that he was going home to offer his services in any capacity to his country. His own words were:—"I know they wont have me in the firing line, but if they a!)ow me to peel potatoes for the troops, or any other odd job, I shall be perfectly satisfied." This rather puts to shame the ablebodied unmarried Britishers who still remain in Chubut.— KELT.
