The Committee (representative of the Welsh community of Liverpool and district) has. pleasure in submitting its Report for the season. Eighteen Social Gatherings were held—two in Crosshali Street and sixteen at York Hall. 2,414 soldiers were entertained-the highest number of soldiers at a social was 282 and the lowest 40-the average being 134. The average cost per Social was about ■ £ 4 6s.—the total for the season being £86 12s. 4d. The Committee desires to thank all subscribers, and espec- ially the ladies who so kindly undertook to defray the cost of particular entertainments. It also thanks all who gave food, sweets, cigarettes, etc., as well as the ladies and gentle- men who gave their services at the concerts, and at the tea tables. Another fortnightly series has been commenced, and it is hoped will be continued throughout this winter. Three have already been given.
