SAD DROWNING FATALITY.
SAD DROWNING FATALITY. As briefly announced in oue last issue, a sad drowning case was investigated at Boofcle on Saturday by Mr Coroner Brighouse. The deceased was a little boy, William Prydderch Jones, aged 5 years 11 months, the son of Robert 0. Jones, a dock labourer, of 114, Berry- street, Bootle, and Water Street, Bar- mouth.—The boy's mother said hp left the bouse about 8 o'clock on Friday afternoon, and about two hours after- wards was brought home dead, having been drowned in the canal.—Mrs Mary Ann Jones, also of Berry-street, slated that about 4 o'clock on Friday afternoon, her little girl, Mary Catherine, aged 4 years, came home and said Willie Jones is in the water." Witness went with her daughter to the canal bank at Coffee House Bridge, and the little girl pointed to the water and said That's where he fell in."—P.C. James Barclay, of the Borough Police Force, deposed to receiving instructions trom Supt. Leslie II about 4 80, as the result of which he went to the canal with the grappling ¡I irons, and at about a quarter-past five recovered the body from between 7 ard 8 feet of water.—In reply to the Coroner, ¡ Supt. Leslie said there were steps lead. ing down to the canal bank from Coffee House Bridge, and these were open to the public. The spot where the fatality occurred was about 200 yards from the home of the boy's parents.— The jury returned a verdict of Acei- dentally drowning." 1
TWICE PROYED.
TWICE PROYED. RESIDENTS OF BARMOUTH CANNOT HAVE DOUBT. Grateful messages from men and women who have the town's welfare at heart continue to appear in the Press. Such a message is given here, and is from an old friend who now gives a double proof of the good advice previously given. Its earnestness lies in its neighbourly tone. Mr H. Roberts, who lives at the Glati- y-Llyn Temperance Hotel, near the Station, Barmonth, has spent thirty years or more on a merchant ship, being an officer for twenty years. He has sailed to all parts of the world, and was shipwrecked about twenty years ago off the coast of Ireland, when be. fortanate- ly escaped in a lifeboat. On January 80th, 1909, Mr Roberts said:—" Some time ago I was suffering with heavy, dragging paint- in my back and a general feeling of lassitude and weariness. There were also other troubles, which together proved to me that my kidneys were not acting properly. "After trying various medicines and finding nothing which seemed to do me any good, I was induced to take Doan's Backache Kidney Pills. I am pleased to say that tbese pills did me more good than anything I bad previously used, and from that time to this I have never had any serious sign of the complaint. I heartily recommend Doan's pills to anyone who is troubled as I was. (Signed) 11 H. Roberts. On February 7th, 1916-seven years Zater-Mr Roberts said :—" I feel firsts class now. There can be no doubt about Doan's pills being effective) for there has been no sign of the complaint since my cure, over seven years ago." I Backache, gravel, dropsical swellings, urinary disorders, rheumatic twinges, headaches and dizzy spells are enough cause to suspect kidney disease. Doan's Backache Kidney.Pills are solely foi- the kidneys and bladder, and afford health and strength to thousands. Price 2/0 a box, of oil dealers, or from Foster McCIellao, Co., 8, Wells Street, Oilord Street, London, W. Don't ask for backache or ktdney pills,—ask distinctly for Doan's backache kidney pills, the same as Mr Roberts had.
