BARMOUTH COUNTY SCHOOL GOVERNORS. Monthly Meeting. The monthly meeting of the above Governors was held on Friday after- noon. Present: Mr Edward Williams (presiding), Mrs 0. W. Morris, the Rev. Gwynoro Davies, Rev. E. Jones- Edwards, Rev. Z. Mather, Messrs R. W. Jones, C.C., Rbys Jones, John Davies, and Lewis Jones; with Messrs E. D. Jones (headmaster), and R. Llewelyn Owen (clerk). PRIZE DISTRIBUTION. The Headmaster reported that he bad fixed the annual prize distribution to be held on Friday, March 24th, and that Principal Harry Reichel, Bangor, bad very kindly promised to give an address and also that Miss Griffiths, Arianfryn, had consented to distribute the prizes. THE JOHN MORGAN'S BEQUEST. The Clerk reported that the Finance Committee bad recommended to invest the R100 left by the late Mr John Morgan, Ballymaccra, for scholarships to be awarded to poor and deserving children in Barmouth, in Exchequer Bonds st a rate of interest of C5 per annum. The reoommendation was adopted. INCREASE OF SALARY. An application was made by Mrs Jane Roberts, the school caretaker, for an increase of salary, and it was decided to allow an increase of C2 as a war bonus. HEADMASTER'S REPORT I The Headmaster reported that Mr Robinson, one of the Central Welsh Board Inspectors, bad visited the school and wab satisfied with the work done at the school under the present circum- stances.—A former pupil of the school, viz Hughie Pugh, had received a good post on the Rbiwias Estate'-The annual school eisteddfod bad been arranged to. take place on Friday, March 3rd.—The Board of Education bad sent a communication intimating jthat special attention should be made on St. David's Day to the subject of patriotism and the present crisis. It was decided that the Rev. R. Lloyd Roberts, M.A R D., the Rev. Z. Mather and Mrs 0. W. Morris, Glanglasfor. should visit the school on St. David's Day and deliver short addresses to the pupils. WOODWORK. It was reported that Mr A. J. Hewins Garreglwyd, and the Rev. Z. Mather were taking "great interest in the woodwork classps, and a hearty vote of thanks was accorded both for their services to the school at this time. TIME OF MEETINGS. I The. Rev. Z. Mather proposed that the resolution previously passed as regards the monthly meeting8to be held on Fridays be rescinded. ¡ Mr John Davies seconded, which was agreed to. The Rev. Z. Mather proposed that in future the meetings should be held on the first Monday in each month. Mr Lewis Jones seconded, which was carried unanimously. y APPROVED. Martin Williams, J.P., Messrs John Duvies, Rbys Jones and J. J. Thomas, with the Headmaster, should bring in a report as to the changing of the date for the Central Welsh Board Examinations.
